Festive Family & My Little BOObear

I am loving all of our special time with our little family of three. As the days get cooler and fall is quickly approaching, I am getting more and more excited about the upcoming holidays and our little family firsts that we will experience. Yesterday we had a fun afternoon of dress up and an attempt at one of my favorite fall activities. My goal was to take Auby to our favorite pumpkin patch for pictures all dressed up in her Halloween/fall gear. But as any new mama knows, sometimes your plans do change. We dressed her in an adorable tutu made by my Oma and a little Halloween onesie that was given to us in one of the many clothes donation bags. Her sweet socks and pumpkin bow were given by her Aunt Becky and added an adorable touch to her outfit. Her oversized witches hat was purchased from Hobby Lobby and as stated was a bit on the large side. And while she may not have loved her sweet little outfit, it sure melted this mama's heart. Daddy is pretty smitten with his girl. So after we adorned our little Boo Bear in her festive wear, the night was quickly upon us, and Aubrey was hungry and a bit fussy... so we decided to do a photo opt in our back yard. This actually turned out to be a better choice. We went for a quick dinner pick up and enjoyed a night at home. I couldn't have asked for anything more. So here are some pictures of our festive family and our little BOO bear!

Our Week with Oma

Last Saturday, Oma, came in town. As her mother did for her, she spent the week with us to assist us with any and all needs. From cleaning, laundry, bottle prep, diapering, feeding, burping, loving, snuggling, and so forth, we have truly been blessed by her countless gifts this week. The best gift of course is spending time with her grand daughter, all the additional help, as well as the gift of letting us nap and even have a date.

To our Oma, we are truly thankful for your help this week. From blow outs to spit up, from toots and giggles, to silly faces, this little lady sure keeps us on our toes. Oma, Aubrey is so blessed to have you as are we! This is a time that I will never forget. So here are some photos from this week. Enjoy lots of snuggle pictures, tummy time, an Arboretum outing, and Chilis lunch date with daddy.

Our lunch date with daddy came at the most perfect time. I will be honest. It was hard watching Ray leave for his first day back at work on Monday. We had two amazing weeks together as a team. Ladies, not to brag... but I'm gonna... my husband gets the gold when it comes to being a daddy. He is right there come pee or poop. Well the poop thing has been more of a comical interlude as Miss Auby finds it super funny to poop on daddy. It's as though she holds them in just for him. I guess in the case of our lunch date with daddy... that didn't hold true. Now back to the original story. As you may soon figure out, my mind wonders pretty badly these days whether it be from lack of sleep or just pure excitement of having a newborn as I'm trying to document... EVERYTHING! When Wednesday came, we were so excited about a lunch date with daddy. Our plan was of course to meet him at his office so we could show off our new little lady to his office. I haven't seen him more proud or excite when he brought her carrier upstairs to show his crew. He was beaming! It was surely awesome. But before this meeting, I checked the weather and it was a bit chilly. I realized that while I have TONS of girl clothes for our beautiful lady, I am lacking on newborn outfits. So having only 1-2 pair of pants, we are limited if one is washing. So I dressed her up, put her in her carrier, and as I was about to head out the door... an explosion occurred. I'm talking about a huge one. All I could think of was please don't get on the pants or better yet the carrier. Well I was thankful it hadn't reached the carrier, but the pants, the blanket, the onesie were filled. So after a quick laugh with Oma, a two person clean up, and 15 minutes behind schedule... which isn't too bad as a new mama... we were off. Talk about a crazy afternoon. But hey for daddy, we'd do anything:)

This has been a week! It was filled with so many special moments (and yes many difficult nights) but we are so grateful for our Oma.

First Tummy Time

Oh how I love the many faces of our little lady... especially during tummy time. Shall I say tummy time is an acquired taste in the Zellner home. Now, Auby sure is a wiggle worm and really does do a fantastic job. She moves those long feet of hers and attempts to make it from one side to the other. She also really does seem to prefer to lay on her back as compared to her tummy unless she is snuggling with mommy or daddy. But I couldn't miss out on capturing these sweet moments with her. She makes it for several minutes of good head lifting, feet kicking, and body moving until she gets a bit upset... but of course this mommy and daddy sure are proud. We've got a strong little lady on our hands. I can't wait to see how she continues to grow. So enjoy some pictures of Aubrey's tummy time.

Our Precious Pumpkin at Pumpkin Village

Sunday afternoon was absolutely bright and beautiful. It was a perfect day for a family trip to the Arboretum and a fun stop at the Pumpkin Village. There were pumpkins of all shapes, colors, sizes, and even textures.

Big ones, small ones... sorry I had to break out in song a bit. But even with over 50,000 pumpkins that lined the walkways and were included in the Pumpkin Village, I have to say that our little pumpkin is the most precious.

Our family of three

This was a special trip as Oma was able to join us and spend some time with our pumpkin. Aubrey did such a great job. All the passers by had fun little comments about our little newborn.

What a great afternoon of fall fun in the pumpkin village. A time so precious spent with those we love and loving our fantastic family of three.

Texas Aggies, Auburn Tigers, and Indoor Tail Gating... Oh my!

Saturday afternoon, Ray, Aubrey, and I made our way to the Hanks' house for some good 'ole fashion indoor "tailgating" for the A&M v. Auburn game. We met with several couples from our ABF including the Hanks, Goodings, Zoutendams, Cooks, and Ogles. Our little family of three adorned ourselves in maroon and white and little Miss Aubrey wore the most adorable Aggie themed tutu. A big thanks to our sweet friend, Denise, for making it for her. I am so excited that she'll get to wear it for many games to come. Our afternoon was great. The kitchen was filled with delicious appetizers, our number 7 Aggies were beating the heck out of Auburn (first half), and our baby play date was in full swing. Now what outing with a newborn can be complete without a blowout? Thank goodness for new mama over packing as we would have been up the creek without a onesie... I think that's how that saying goes:) Anyway, she was quickly changed, Aggie shirt layered back on top, and we were good to go.

Enjoy some fun photo opts of our afternoon together.

What a fun group of girls. I am super thankful for these couples and to our good friends, the Hanks, for hosting a fun indoor "tailgate." And yes, sadly our Aggies ran out of time, but what a great afternoon it was. Gig 'em Aggies... WHOOP!
