Mommy Hearts Auby Saturday

With more early morning storms in the North Dallas area, our morning began pretty early this past Saturday. Our munchkin slept in until around 6:30. We enjoyed a few morning stories, watched the rain, and snuggled with loveys while watching an episode of Mickey. Our little Miss, while not exactly under the weather, has struggled with more teething issues. I love my girl's snuggles, so I was pretty ok with that. We enjoy pancake Saturdays around the Zellner home, and began around 8AM. Today the hubs would be joining some friends at Comic Con for the day, so we wanted to start our day with a fun breakfast with daddy.

I love my little helper. She definitely loves to stir and of course taste test.
 Our Bilabo Blueberry Pancakes were a hit!

After pancakes, we enjoyed some play dough fun. I think she really just likes to squish the play dough between her fingers as well as puts it in and out of the play dough tube. Mommy has fun playing too.

After our morning fun, Auby and I dropped off daddy at a friend's house. Us ladies then made our way to the Dollar Store for some fun dollar pieces. Since it had been rainy and wet, I was looking forward to an afternoon of crafty fun. Little girl was all about helping.
What I didn't know was that a few dollar store purchases would give us a few hours of fun. Here were a few of my favorites. The teacher in me is so excited for all the crafty summer fun Auby and I will have together. But beore the fun could begin it was time for my big girl to have her afternoon nap.

 {Googly eyes, pom pom balls, and foam stickers}

After our nap, Aubrey and her silly self woke up in the cutest of moods. She found her new sunglasses and flower necklace... a perfect photo opt for mommy. I can't get enough of my big girl.

Lunch quickly followed. From pasta, cheese cubes, grapes, and veggies, she was a champ.

Let the crafty fun begin! Here were a few of our afternoon purchases. She loved the Mini and Daisy maracas. Enjoy some pictures of our afternoon fun.

We noticed that the sun had made an appearance later that afternoon and took full advantage. We enjoyed some chalk art. After making a few marks on the ground, Auby's favorite activity was putting the chalk eggs in the carton and then taking them out.

While we missed daddy, we surely had a fun mommy and Auby day. Who knew that a few dollar store pieces would make for hours of family fun. I'm so thankful for this sweet day with my girl and look forward to many more just like that this summer! This was surely a Mommy Hearts Auby Saturday!

19 Month Most Memorable Moments

Some of my favorite Auby moments and comments include:

- bean beans (green beans) are yellow as is everything right now
- my daughter attempts to fist bump
- our Eskimo kisses are called noseys
- she wants to "color color" everything including her belly and our couch with crayon
- my favorite words are efficent (elephant), Bilabo (bear), comingo (flamingo), and finga (finger)

She is my miss independent (no my!) but loves her hand holding, reading to, and snuggles... just on her own terms. I surely love this munchkin!

Waldrup Family Fun Days: Memorial Day 2015

There is something so magical about family, about books, about sitting on crayons and rocking in a rocking chair. Perfection from the eyes of a child is so amazingly perfect. That's why our time with my family was so memorable this past weekend.
It was about the cuddles and the bedtime reads, play time, and exploration with Oma, Opa, and Bubba. It was all about the love of family. Enjoy some pictures of our time together with my Waldrup family.
{Reading with Oma}
 {Story time reads with Bubba}
 {Receiving a few sloppy kisses from Shiner}
 {Love'n on Opa}
 {Play dough fun}
{The hubby even made me a play dough rose.}

What a fabulously fun and relaxing day with my family. Auby surely may have found herself shy in the beginning, but quickly warmed up and ran the house... no literally like ran around screaming and laughing for fun. It is amazing to see how quickly little girl can grow from visit to visit. Thankful for a family that loves this little girl and thankful for the special memories made this Memorial Day weekend.

Zellner Zoo Family Fun Memorial Day 2015

This weekend Ray, Auby, and I traveled south to Sugar Land to visit our families for the Memorial Day weekend. After dropping Mattie (our pup) off with my parents, we made our way to the in-law's house to visit with his my husband's parents, siblings, and our nieces and nephew. With our numbers ranging from 12-16 people at any given time including 5 dogs, it surely made for a Zellner zoo but a lot of family fun. We surely packed a lot of fun moments and memories in our 3 day weekend. Enjoy pictures of our time with my Zellner family.

I was so surprised that the sun found its way out of the clouds to show up for our Zellner pool day. It was a fun day to spend with our Alabama family and in-laws. Thank you to our Alabama Zellner family who drove in for the weekend. From splashing in the pool, slides and pool floaties, diving board fun, baby splash cuddles, a yummy grilled cheese and chip lunch- thank you babe, and our first pool day experience, we had so much fun.

I cannot get enough of these adorable girls and their bathing suits. Thank you Wal-Mart special. I mean it has a tutu!
