Gym Dandies, Girls Night, Library Love, Painting Party, & Arboretum Adventures

Our second to last week of summer was filled with friendship, fun, and family. To be honest, I'm not ready for the fun to end. I've so enjoyed my little munchkin and mama time. We have packed our days full of gym time, library love, music and movement, mall madness, pool and splash pad dates, and lots of little loves. Enjoy our second to last week of summer from Sunday through Friday.
Sunday
Afternoon snuggles, baby doll holding, Frozen watching, owl sound making, cake sharing, Jesus loves me singing, lazy Sunday with the family.
Monday
Monkeying around, Georgia love, parachute fun, scarf play, and building blocks all lead to an exciting morning at Gym Dandies.

We loved our family date to Gym Dandies with our Ogle friends. We are so excited that daddy could join us today to share in one of our final classes together.

Tonight I enjoyed a fabulous pizza and wine night with the ladies at Palios.

Tuesday

Oh the places you will go.Loved this sweet little moment before taking daddy to work.

We enjoyed our final day at Gym Dandies with Eva Mae and Georgia. Until next summer at the Gym. I surely love these two little gymnasts.
Tuesday night I went over to our Fantlet house for a painting party with Kristin. Our babes enjoyed a game night prior to bed. I love these little hungry hungry hippos.

Wednesday
We love our Wednesday story time hour at our local library. We enjoyed a few stories, songs, and play time. At the very end, the kiddos get a special sticker. Auby loves her library. We enjoyed a new book today, Elephantantrum. Too adorable for words.
That night our family of three went to the mall for a family play date. Auby loves the carousel but does not like to ride the horseys just yet. Loved this special time with her daddy tonight.

Thursday
This morning we were all about loving on Dotty the Giraffe.
Music and Movement Thursdays at our local library are oh so fun! Our time included bumble bee stickers, shaker and music fun, Elephantantrum reads, and lots of toddler smiles.
Thursday afternoon I enjoyed a pool party with some of my adorable kiddos from school last year and their mommies.
I loved spending time with these cuties and a few others for an afternoon pool session and play time. Love these girls and so did Auby.

Friday
Our Arboretum Adventure included face painting, petting zoo, chatting with goats, water play, and Fantlet fun!

Auby's Arboretum Adventure with our Fantlets

This Friday we enjoyed an Arboretum adventure with our Fantlet friends. Today the Arboretum hosted a petting zoo play and face painting area. The kids absolutely loved the animals. From a donkey, a few goats, sheep, bunny, and chicken, Aubrey wanted to pet them all. She even went around to each goat telling it all about the bunny and chicken. It was hilarious and a huge change from our cautious babe.

After our time at the petting zoo, we made our way over to the face painting station. There was absolutely no line, so we jumped right on in. I was unsure if little miss would even be ok with having her face painted, but she did great. The lady was fantastic and Auby sat so perfectly still.

I loved the way it turned out. I just love these sweet little pictures of Bryson and Auby together after their face painting session.

Once we finished, we walked around the flowered path until it was time to head to the children's playground. It was perfect for our range of kids. They explored the play area. It included water play, sand pit, maze, slide, lots of bugs, turtle talk, and dinosaur egg exploration. Enjoy pictures of our Arboretum Adventure in the children's playground

While our day was a bit hot, it was a perfect morning adventure for our littles. We give a big thanks to our Fantlet friends and enjoyed such a great morning of friendly fun! Our morning was a sure success!

Library Love, Splash Pad Pals, Mall Madness, Firsty and Frisbee Fun, & Pure Sweetness

{McKinney Library story time with Baby Bear and The Bear Stays Up}

Our week has been filled with library visits, splash pads, park exploration, friend dates, story times, a few toddler tantrums but mostly pure sweetness. As our days are quickly passing us by, I don't want to miss a thing. Here is a peek of our week together.

On Monday we missed our Ogle friends as they were out of town, but did enjoy a morning at our Gym Dandies class. I have to say little lady, you were the most fun and active I have ever seen you there. From the moment we arrived you were away from my leg and running around the room. You had a little boyfriend for the day named Charlie that loved you and loved on you for most of the day. His hugs were adorable. You showed him the duckies outside the window and even how to swing like a monkey on the bars. You danced and you sang. You had a ball. Your Gym Dandie favorites are jumping on the trampoline, playing with the scarfs, talking on the phone, throwing balls, musical instruments, and of course riding the horsey.

On Tuesday, we met our Fantlet friends at our usual splash pad and park. After dropping daddy off we quickly made our way to the park section and ran from tot lot to the big kid's park. You loved the independence. Mommy's still working on it;) At the splash pad, we bring your yellow bucket, cups, and shovels. This was our first time to use the spray. You loved it. Before we left, I wanted to wear your little body out so we let you kids run through the field. We are absolutely working on the words, "stop! and freeze!"

I love some of life's unexpected moments.

Wednesday will remain our most difficult day of this summer. Sweet girl you have found your voice and will definitely let us know what you think. Wednesday we dropped daddy off at work and made our way for some mall play &Barnes & Noble story time. You wanted nothing to do with the mall play area and quickly wanted back in your stroller. A few tantrums later, we made our way to Barnes and Noble and found this little treasure. You love your dinosaurs sweet girl. This was the absolute cutest, Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs... all read from your stroller. Hey it worked!

After our stories I was able to get you out of the stroller and interested in the train set. It is the cutest little area. After a short mall trip, I decided to take a stop by the park to get out some of that energy.

From swings, trains, slides, and park fun, we enjoyed another hour of summer fun at the park. I loved that it was overcast and a bit windy so we could enjoy a nicer summer morning together. After our park date, we made it home for lunch and a nap. I never would have guessed that our nap would have been that crazy of a struggle coming from my girl that was previously a champ napper. I think my facebook status said it best. "So thankful that Auby slept in, but this afternoon we may be paying the price. We are currently refusing to nap and telling our stuffed animals who's boss. At the end of her adorable and forceful rant, she says, "I win!" #toddlerproblems

After an afternoon of what I will just call crazy, Ray saved the day and brought home a redbox and these smores cupcakes. It was surely a sweet ending to one of those days!
On Thursday our library hosted a music and movement toddler time. I love all the fun activities on their calendar. I wish I had made more of an effort earlier this summer but do look forward to a few upcoming activities including a puppet show, craft time, and story time. Aubrey was so excited to go to the Lilliberry (library). She used her fast feet all the way into the reading area. Once we were inside, she was my little observer. But oh how she loved singing and waving the scarves to the music as well as clapping all the bubbles at the end.
 {Auby selected a purple scarf.}
Our library time ended with story time of our favorite little bear and a penguin sticker! It was a real success!

Thursday night I met my first grade team at Cheesecake factory for our first meeting of the new school year.

After our meeting, Aubrey and I cheered on daddy for his last Frisbee game of the summer season. While it was a bit hot, Auby did great shouting out, "Go Daddy, honey, Ray, yay, go!" It was hilarious! She did amazing and was a super champ. I was fully prepared with board books, lace up cards, and stroller to keep her busy. She did try to run out on the field a hand full of times, but hey all in good fun. :)

On Friday we enjoyed a morning play date with our Ogle friends. We loved our little play date with Eva Mae and Georgia. From our afternoon picnic lunch, kitchen and stroller fun, Legos, Mama time, and a little bit of Frozen, we had a fun play time together. Thank you to our Ogle friends for joining us today.

Saturday we met with a few of our ABF bible study couples for a family pool day in Allen.
