Wings & Baby Things!

Baby Jacob has officially been home for almost two weeks and I absolutely could not wait for the moment we could visit our sweet friends, the Dukes, and officially welcome him home! So tonight we brought over some Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner and were able to catch up with the sweet family of three on all things Baby. At almost seven pounds, baby Jacob was absolutely perfect and I could not believe how big he had gotten from the first time we visited him in the hospital. I love his adorable cheeks! To our amazing friends, Duckee and Adam... we had such an amazing time getting to catch up with you and spend time with the little man. We wish you well on this exciting new adventure as I know each day will bring about such wonderful changes and opportunities. We can't wait to see you three again soon. Enjoy a few sweet pictures from tonight:)

Winter League Tournament Take Two!

Saturday marked the last day for Raymond's Winter Frisbee League in Oak Point, TX. The tournament began at 11:30AM and held a single round elimination. It was an absolutely gorgeous Saturday and I was super excited to cheer on the husband and Brown Team to their first victory. After the first win the team enjoyed a tasty BBQ lunch and quickly recouped for the second round that would then begin around 2:00. Here are a few pictures from his game(s).

After the second win, the finals would quickly begin around 4:30PM and would last until 6:30PM. Everyone was pumped... but it was around this time that the cool front rolled in. I was burnt and freezing... but the teams played on. Sadly they lost in the finals but did amazing and took home second place... thus the "take two" from my title. I was so proud of my husband and so happy to be able to cheer him on!

After the first game I had realized that my pale skin was no match for the heat of the sun and while I did attempt to put on sun screen at this point it was of no use. Look here to view this lady lobster's new look.

Around the second game I even put on Ray's extra shirt but no luck because I was fried. From second place to sun burns to freezing to sand storms to my husband playing a super amazing game... I was so excited to be a fan on this beautiful Saturday and would not have had it any other way.

ELC Celebration Week!

This week the ELC celebrated six wonderful birthdays. We made special birthday treats from triangle birthday hats, participated in shared writing of birthday cards, enjoyed celebration exploration like bubbles, balloons, streamers, gift wrap, etc. We also tasted delicious treats including cake, cupcakes, pudding cups, chocolate cookies, and teddy grahams. Here are a few pictures from our week of celebrations!

Each Friday the ladies of the ELC enjoy a Friday lunch together. This week we enjoyed southwest chicken tacos from one of my faves... On the Border.

Look at these amazing tacos. They were so yummy.

This was definitely a week to celebrate... a week of lots of happenings. While things are constantly in motion in the education field... I can for sure say that regardless what the future holds in regards to my position I love these kids and am so thankful to be with my team and my six very amazing kiddos!

Chuys Dinner Date with Jennifer!

Thursday I met up with my good friend Jennifer at Chuys for dinner and drinks. Jennifer and I both went to high school together and share in some pretty amazing and hilarious times. I do owe many of my nicknames, random stories, and all time favorite introductions to this girl right here. It was definitely a fun night with such a good friend. We caught up on some great memories and all of our new happenings. After college, Jennifer moved to Arizona where she rocked the corporate and professional world and has now returned to the Lone Star State as well as to the Dallas area. I couldn't be more excited. Here are a few more pictures of our night... from dinner to profile pics including some scary art pics in the background;) ha.

Thanks Jennennenifer for a fun ladies night out. I definitely look forward to many more in our future!

Married Weekend in College Station

This past weekend the husband and I enjoyed a small married vacation in sweet home College Station. With this being the last weekend of Spring Break we decided to make the 3.5 hour drive south to enjoy a fun few days away just the husband and I.

Upon arrival, we picked up our keys at the hotel and quickly made our way to the Fox and Hound to watch a bit of March Madness and see our Aggies take on Florida State University. Sadly the Aggies were not victorious but it was definitely a fabulous way to watch our team. While at the Fox and Hound, I received a text from our sweet friends from church. The Zoutendams were also in town. So we decided to meet up, take a tour around the Aggie campus, and later have Blue Baker for dinner and Ben and Jerry's for some dessert. It was definitely an unexpected but wonderful time with sweet friends. Enjoy some pictures from our wonderful weekend.

Saturday morning, Ray and I slept in but were looking forward to a day out in College Station. We started our morning with some yummy Whataburger breakfast then made our way to Kohls to purchase a few clothing items for our night out. Later that afternoon we walked down to Wolf Pen Creek. Here are some pictures from our mini "nature hike."

For lunch we had to stop at our fav lunch spot, Fazolis. Those yummy bread sticks and baked spaghetti were calling my name.

After lunch we decided to go enjoy a $3.50 movie at Cinemark. We viewed Limitless with Bradley Cooper. It was really good and a wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon. Then it was back to the hotel where we rested a bit before enjoying a night on Northgate. Here are a few pictures from our night out:)

What a fabulous time out with the husband!

Our married weekend away was absolutely fabulous. The husband and I enjoyed such a wonderful time away reminiscing on old memories. We enjoyed many of our favorite eateries... including Fox and Hound, Blue Baker, Ben and Jerrys, Fazolis, and Potato Shack. Boy was I stuffed after this amazing trip to College Station and probably gained a good 5 lbs... but all totally worth it:)

We also drove around to many of our old apartments we had lived at and even ventured to some of our favorite hot spots. I am so thankful for this man and am so excited for all the memories we've made and all those still to come.

Good-bye Sweet College Station!

On our return home, we stopped by Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, TX. We have seen that place hundreds of time but on this return trip home decided to go in and explore the bakery and all of its sweet treats. These were the desserts the husband and I shared. YUM! This may be another tradition that the Zellners partake in on our trips out of Dallas.

Here's to such a fabulous married weekend away. I absolutely love our time together and look forward to all those times together and all our future married weekends we will share.

Spring Break Specialities & Updates

This has been such a wonderful and exciting Spring Break. A week of special events and fun updates. Here are a few of those fabulous activities.

Monday I met up with a sweet friend who was having sinus surgery. I spent the day babysitting her 5 year old son, Ethan. We enjoyed several board games and movies. I had such a fun time with her sweet son. That night Ray and I decided to eat at a local Mexican Food restaurant near our home in McKinney called Petra. It was absolutely delicious and I so cannot wait to go back and enjoy more of that tasty goodness.

Delicious chips, salsa, tortilla soup, fresh salad,
and a chicken burrito covered in queso. YUM!

After dinner we stopped by Blockbuster for a few movies to enjoy a night in with the furbabies.

Tuesday I woke up early and quickly got ready. I had some errands to run. By 10AM I wanted to be the first person in line at the McKinney USPS to get my passport renewed. In early June, the Husband and I will be traveling with friends to Cozumel, Mexico for six days of fun in the sun. Tuesday afternoon/night I enjoyed a relaxing night at home. I love that my husband is working support this week so I am able to see him and spend some fun family time together.

Wednesday afternoon we drove to Uptown to meet up with our favorite Gathings crew... Sally, Paul, and baby Harley for lunch at Chilis. It was absolutely delicious!

We had such a fun and fabulous time catching up with our friends... and look at this adorable sweetie. This picture was sent by Harley's mama. I just love her beautiful blues!

The ladies ordered bottomless lunches and the boys chicken fried steak and shrimp. All was super tasty. Our chips and salsa came out pretty late so they gave us free dessert. YUM! What a wonderful time with great friends. I absolutely look forward to another visit soon.

In other and exciting news, baby Jacob is finally home. This past Monday our sweet friends, the Dukes were able to bring home baby Jacob from the hospital.

God truly is amazing! Baby Jacob is doing great and mama and daddy couldn't be more excited! To our great friends, we are so thankful for all the blessings that God has given and are so excited for your sweet family of three. Baby Jacob is home and we can't wait to visit!

More to come! Hope you are having a fabulous Spring Break:)
