End of ESY Yogurt, Pizza, and Pool Day Celebration!

This past Wednesday, Julie and I celebrated our last few days in ESY Summer School by enjoying an afternoon of pizza, yogurt, and pool time. This trip Michael, her husband, was also able to come with us and enjoy his very first experience at Yogilicious Yogurt Shop in Allen! It was delicious!

What a fun afternoon with my carpool partner and a great way to celebrate the end of our summer school experience.

Summer School Fun w/ Julie!

This summer I have taken a role as a teaching assistant in Plano ISD for ESY (Extended School Year) Summer School. I even get to see two of my kiddos from school:) Each day I have the wonderful opportunity to carpool with a sweet friend, Julie Zoutendam, from our ABF Honeymooner's group at our church. It has been so much fun to share our summer together. This past Thursday... which should easily be labeled as our "Friday" since we only attend four hours a day from Monday through Thursday we decided to enjoy an afternoon of fun activities including tasty Gloria's Mexican Food for lunch at the Shops in Fairview and pool time back at her apartment. Here are a few pictures of our afternoon hang out:)

Julie is such a sweet girl and I am so thankful to share our summer together. Here's to our days in ESY and to many more days of fun in the sun!

Married Weekend in College Station

This past weekend the husband and I enjoyed a small married vacation in sweet home College Station. With this being the last weekend of Spring Break we decided to make the 3.5 hour drive south to enjoy a fun few days away just the husband and I.

Upon arrival, we picked up our keys at the hotel and quickly made our way to the Fox and Hound to watch a bit of March Madness and see our Aggies take on Florida State University. Sadly the Aggies were not victorious but it was definitely a fabulous way to watch our team. While at the Fox and Hound, I received a text from our sweet friends from church. The Zoutendams were also in town. So we decided to meet up, take a tour around the Aggie campus, and later have Blue Baker for dinner and Ben and Jerry's for some dessert. It was definitely an unexpected but wonderful time with sweet friends. Enjoy some pictures from our wonderful weekend.

Saturday morning, Ray and I slept in but were looking forward to a day out in College Station. We started our morning with some yummy Whataburger breakfast then made our way to Kohls to purchase a few clothing items for our night out. Later that afternoon we walked down to Wolf Pen Creek. Here are some pictures from our mini "nature hike."

For lunch we had to stop at our fav lunch spot, Fazolis. Those yummy bread sticks and baked spaghetti were calling my name.

After lunch we decided to go enjoy a $3.50 movie at Cinemark. We viewed Limitless with Bradley Cooper. It was really good and a wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon. Then it was back to the hotel where we rested a bit before enjoying a night on Northgate. Here are a few pictures from our night out:)

What a fabulous time out with the husband!

Our married weekend away was absolutely fabulous. The husband and I enjoyed such a wonderful time away reminiscing on old memories. We enjoyed many of our favorite eateries... including Fox and Hound, Blue Baker, Ben and Jerrys, Fazolis, and Potato Shack. Boy was I stuffed after this amazing trip to College Station and probably gained a good 5 lbs... but all totally worth it:)

We also drove around to many of our old apartments we had lived at and even ventured to some of our favorite hot spots. I am so thankful for this man and am so excited for all the memories we've made and all those still to come.

Good-bye Sweet College Station!

On our return home, we stopped by Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, TX. We have seen that place hundreds of time but on this return trip home decided to go in and explore the bakery and all of its sweet treats. These were the desserts the husband and I shared. YUM! This may be another tradition that the Zellners partake in on our trips out of Dallas.

Here's to such a fabulous married weekend away. I absolutely love our time together and look forward to all those times together and all our future married weekends we will share.
