My Tiny Dancer 2017

I sure love my tiny dancer.
Three weeks ago, Aubrey began her first ballet class. On Monday and Wednesday, she attends with our sweet little friend, Eva Mae, and enjoys learning the beginning steps of dance. At the end of camp, she will perform a Beauty and the Beast recital.

Our days have been filled with a little sweet and a whole lot of sassy. My girl is definitely her own little butterfly and has found her silly side and the mirror. It has been fun to watch her grow as a little dancer... and sometimes that means practicing our listening too.
Enjoy a few pictures of her classes.

I have to say little brother has been so good during class and really seems to be interested in the music and watching big sister dance.
Dress Rehearsal
Our day before the recital, the girls were dressed in the most adorable red tutus with rose head piece and pin for her leotard. While our first attempt we may have been more excited about our rose than the dance, our second try led us to practice our new dance steps.

It was adorable!

What a special last day of dance before the big recital. What a fun three weeks of dance this summer. We have loved spending sweet time with our friends. We are looking forward to signing her up for the fall. We surely love this tiny dancer!

Sun Rays & Daddy Days 2017

Today we began a special daddy's day weekend celebration. Here are some of my favorite little craft pieces for daddy. For our favorite POPsicle, a list of exciting actiities for dad, Saturday morning donuts, a HAND made card written by mommy but spoken by Auby.

I... love daddy so much.
I like it when daddy... gets me to home church.
I love daddy because... he loves and cares for me.
My favorite thing to do with daddy is... to play with him.
I want to celebrate daddy by... Father's Day.
Daddy's favorite thing to do with me... is to watch the Grunch Stole Christmas. That makes him happy.
To our super hero, prince, snuggler, play pal, spiritual leader, and all the amazing and fun names we know, we are so very lucky to call u by daddy! Happy Father's Day to the love of my life!

Saturday, Little Elm
Beach Fun in the sun
On our way out to the beach, we stopped for a quick bite to eat and enjoyed some delicious donuts with dad. Sprinkles were the kids' favorites.

It was a perfect day of fun in the sun on Little Elm Beach. We dug for treasures, played in the surf, and picnicked on the beach. Our umbrella may have taken flight midway through our afternoon as a huge gust of wind got a hold of it. But all went well. Our beach is always one of my summer favorites.

Sunday: Father's Day
Father's Day Church Service & Family Portrait

I am so thankful for this man. I'm thankful for the father he is and for the way he loves and cares for his family. We may be a loud and proud little group, but boy he is our calm and our strength. He is the kids fun toy and our favorite part of the day. Happy Father's Day to my favorite person and the person I am so incredibly thankful to call my children's daddy.

Father's Day Sunday
Grapevine Mall, Carousal, & Legoland Fun

After church service, we made our way to Grapevine for a fun day of carousal rides and Legoland adventures. Liam enjoyed his first ride on the carousal. It was so fun to watch the kiddos enjoy a special ride with daddy.

After lunch and a sweet ride on the carousal horsies, we made our way to Legoland. While it was definitely a fun little activity, I will have to say that it was a bit overcrowded and hot. But we definitely had a fun little time, enjoying characters, playing in the giant pit of legos, showing our muscles with Batman, and eating tasty treats.

What a fun little outing to celebrate daddy!
