Good Friday & Easter Weekend Wrap Up!

The Easter Bunny made an early appearance at the Zellner home this year. On Good Friday both Ray and I stayed home from work or should I say Plano ISD was closed and Ray was technically working from home. But our Easter holiday began with a wonderful and sugary start thanks to my husband.

Ray woke at 7AM in time for work and let me sleep in. When I finally decided to get up, I woke up to wonderful donuts and movies for our Friday movie day inside. Thank you lovey for picking us up some fun treats. After an afternoon of movies, Ray and I decided to head out for some Starbucks drinks and drive around looking at neighborhoods. I cannot wait for the day that we will officially be in our very own home but for now it is great to just get a good feel for the area. It is kind of weird to admit that we do random drive bys as that is not the exact way to put it and sounds a bit inappropriate but it's hilarious regardless. Upon our return home, we picked up some taco bell and headed home and would retire early for the night.

Saturday, depending upon the weather, both Ray and I had decided to enjoy a relaxing pool day; however, the weather did not cooperate and was extremely overcast and windy... so Ray and I opted for a day at the doggy park in Allen. The weather was perfect and there were plenty of fun furbaby friends for our pups to play with. After an hour at the park, the pups were pooped and we decided to return home. We would quickly drop them off and head to Wal-Mart for a few errands. Of course we decided to pick up a few new "Easter goodies" for the furbs including Wedgie the Hedgie for Mattie and Duck Duck for Toby as it was supposed to be for strong chewers. The pups seemed to enjoy their new Easter goodies and played for the rest of the afternoon!

Easter Bunny arrived Early!

CHRIST has RISEN indeed!
Happy Easter 2011

Sunday morning, Ray and I joined our Honeymooners ABF at the Heights Baptist Church for our early morning bible study. After our fellowship we served our kiddos in Joyland. I absolutely love our 3-4 year olds and am so excited to continue working with this age next year. It is amazing what God is doing in their lives as well as ours through them. What an amazing day to serve! Sunday afternoon we were invited to join the Bragg family

for Easter lunch. We truly are blessed to have such a wonderful family in our friends and could not imagine our lives without them. Here are a few pictures of our afternoon Easter festivities including a delicious lunch, coloring Easter eggs, an egg hunt for little man, and spending time together with family and friends.

After our afternoon with the Bragg family, we decided to continue our Easter Sunday at Breckinridge Park. It included a poorly planned water balloon and water gun fight... as we forgot to prefill balloons... bubbles, and a long walk. What a beautiful Easter Sunday! Enjoy pictures from our outdoor activity.

What an absolutely perfect Easter Weekend... filled with so much celebration and love. A time to remember that we are all so truly blessed as He is alive!

Christ is Risen from the dead
We are one with Him again
Come awake come awake
Come and rise up from the grave

NINE YEARS

Nine years ago I met the absolute love of my life. Who would have known that two kids in high school would start a relationship, continue to grow together, fall in love, and get married. I am so thankful for the best friend and husband that God has given me. I couldn't be more blessed.

That afternoon I received a beautiful gift at school from my husband. The note read, "It's unbelievable how, after nine years, my love for you can continue to grow year after year. You have had my heart for nine years and will have it forever more. All my love, Raymond" That night we dinned at Paesano's Italian Restaurant. It was an absolute perfect celebration of nine amazing years together. I cannot wait to see what else God has in store for our family.

McLean's Boil of Crawfish!

Saturday night we made our way over to the casa de McLean's and enjoyed a fabulous Crawfish Boil with friends for Brandon's big birthday party. Yes I know what you may be thinking and for those of you who may know me understand that this lady does not enjoy fish or anything of the sort. Well my friends... you will be proud to know that I ate crawfish. The most amazing part was that it wasn't half bad. It was definitely a lot more work than the food it produced, but still was a fun and unexpected activity that I can say I participated in. Enjoy some fun pictures from the party.

Birthday Weekend Funtivities!

Today Ray and I enjoyed a celebratory day on the town that would include a delicious brunch at Uncle Julios and afternoon mimosas, shopping, a fashion show at lunch, and of course a yummy dessert of cookie cake reading, Happy Birthday Ray. I have had such a wonderful weekend celebrating the most special person in my life, my husband! Happy 27th love and for all those to come! Here are a few pictures of our day.

Yes It's Ladies Night! ELC Style:)

Tonight was our ELC Ladies Night. I am so blessed to work with such amazing women... we do absolutely have a ball in and out of the class room. Tonight we enjoyed some very tasty treats including yummy queso, Eddie's White Sauce Pizza with Chicken, and sopapilla cheesecake. Each time we get together, the host will make a choice on the movie and tonight Wallace chose the Proposal. I have seen it several times and I seriously love it... It absolutely makes me laugh until I cry. Plus now I think we may have a classroom dance. Thank you Betty White and Sandra Bullock! Who knew that "chanting" could be so hilarious:)
Here are a few fun pictures of my fabulous ELC ladies.

Here's to Trout, Garrett (Red headed Gellner), Wallace, and myself:) Happy ELC ladies night out:) How did you enjoy your Friday?!?!

A REAL MAN's Weekend!

The weekend of April 8-10, Ray joined several friends in a REAL MAN's WEEKEND in Novice, TX. His weekend included shooting practice, spotting for turkey and hogs in a blind and by jeep, and exploring the grounds. Here are just a few sneak peak pictures of his weekend. Thanks to Dr. Bragg and family for making it such a fun weekend away. Ray will be including a guest post soon.

... I told Ray as long as I didn't see a picture of Bambi I would be fine. Thank goodness it was not deer season. Ha!

Early April Update!

This week has already produced several happenings including fun days at school, intense work outs, relaxing nights at home with my husband and furbs or furbabies as previously labeled.

1. This week is TAKS week. While this portion of TAKS does not entirely affect our kiddos it does provide for a few minor changes in our students' schedules. This was definitely not easy but something that we dealt with and learned to quickly adapt.

2. This Friday is our second ELC ladies' night. I am looking forward to enjoying a fun day of yummy treats for lunch and then dinner and a movie with my fabulous work ladies.

3. This week I have continued my work outs at Oakpoint after school and continue to stay on a healthy track. My motivation....In two months and two days, Ray and I will be joining friends in Cozumel, Mexico... enjoying some fun in the sun, tasty drinks, games, dancing, and a full 6 days of rest and relaxation. As noted on facebook I have some how thrown out the idea of increasing cardio and just increasing the incline. I have found you lose more calories in this manner. And within two months hopefully my efforts will for sure pay off.

4. This weekend Ray will be enjoying a guys weekend that will include fishing/hunting/and other manly things that go along with those categories. Ha. I am very excited for him and while I will miss him I am excited to have a weekend to relax.

That is all to report at this time. Enjoying a night at home after a long work out. Hello Hulu and the couch. You are calling my name:)

All Worked Out!

With the Summer right around the corner and our vacation to Cozumel within the next few months, I knew it was time to get in shape. I have loved viewing friend's blogs reading their fitness and weight loss journeys. They were all so very motivational... so I too jumped on the wagon.

This past Monday both Ray and I joined the Plano rec center and the rest is history. Last week I worked out Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Next week I will also add in 30-45 minutes of walking with a friend from work then the additional work outs. Today was one of the harder training days probably from all the amazing food I have had lately but definitely much needed. I will keep you all updated on my work outs as a way to keep myself accountable. So here's to enjoying a fabulous and healthy summer!

Shops in Allen & Buca Celebration!

Saturday after returning home from the hair salon, Ray and I decided to enjoy this beautiful day by having a Freebirds lunch outside at the Shops in Allen. After a very delicious meal including free chips and queso if you provided their preferred customer card, we ventured around the shops and enjoyed the happenings around the area. What a perfect Saturday with the husband. I am definitely one lucky girl:)

After our adventure around town, we returned home with full tummies. That afternoon we enjoyed a few shows and relaxed with our sweet fam of four including our two furbabies. That night we then decided to enjoy a date night out and celebrate at Buca! More will be discussed in the very near future but I couldn't be more excited and know that this was definitely a Godly decision about my future career path.

At Buca di Beppo the line was unexpectedly short for a Saturday and we were even offered a spot to sit at their world famous kitchen table. It was so fun to be able to watch the crew make some of our favorite dishes and of course to hear the line repeated over and over "this is our famous kitchen table." We felt so special and even were given free garlic bread:) We ordered so much tasty food including chicken Parmesan, fettuccine pasta, and of course this delicious mammoth of a sundae for dessert. Oh and please know we took home most of it as left overs. Ha. Here are a few pictures of our celebratory date night out!

What a special afternoon/night with my husband. I love these moments as it is a time to remember the path that God has put before us. We truly are blessed! Happy Saturday:)

Saturday Hair Do & Starbucks Run!

Every 5-10 weeks my good girl friend from work Jes and I go get our hair done at a Salon in McKinney. We first stop and pick up a Starbucks drink then head over for a fun Salon Saturday. Here is a picture of Jes and I after our latest new do! As a few of my girlfriends say... once you go short you'll never go back... and I totally agree! Thanks Jes for a fun ladies day of beautifcation:)
