This Easter season was filled with birthday celebrations, egg hunts, adorable baby animals, and bunny gifts. The best gift, the true gift we want to teach our children is about
the gift of our risen LORD. Our weekend was filled with so much fun, some fussiness, but overall a wonderful time spent with our little family and sweet friends. Enjoy a little Easter recap of our Hipitty Hoppity Weekend.
On
Saturday, after a wonderful and Good Friday celebrating the hubs and his 33rd birthday, we enjoyed an early afternoon of Easter celebration at Heritage Farmstead. Per a teacher friend's suggestion, we made our way over around lunch. There were cute Victorian games...
a school house, dress up, face painting, delicious eats, wagon rides,
and the works. As we had just a short period of time, we enjoyed game
time, school house fun, and some delicious eats. It was a bit hot and
the line for face painting was not moving. We then found the cutest little photo opportunity. The Plano FFA had a phot opt with little lambs and baby chicks. Aubrey was so excited to hold the sweet little babes.

After some adorable pictures with the littles and the baby animals, we quickly hurried to our sweet Duke friends' house for Haley's 3rd Birthday Party. It was an adorable kitty cat themed party.
From cat ears, play pals, and a super fun celebration with sweet friends, we absolutely loved celebrating our favorite little 3 year old kitten. My little girl may have had a harder afternoon, but what sweet and PURfect celebration.

Easter
Sunday
Our little bunnies enjoyed some exciting treats in their Easter basket this year. It was such a fun time of celebration (as Liam was a few days old for last Easter) for the kids but remembering the true
GIFT of the season.
The night before we read the Easter Story and talked about Jesus. We explained that Easter was more than just bunnies and special spring treats, but our celebration of our risen Lord. That Jesus was alive! Aubrey loved talking about Jesus and how He is alive in our hearts!

our little bunnies opening their Easter baskets and receiving some goodies from Oma, Opa, Grammy, & Papa Z.
Liam loved his little toys. He waived around his bunny wand, held his little cars, and played with his new squishy books. He tapped his new sand table toys, and put the Easter eggs in his mouth. I am simply loving his expression and his adorable tie. After opening our baskets, eating resurrection rolls, and getting on our Sunday best, we were ready for an exciting morning of worship and celebration at church.

Sunday night,
we loved having the Ogles over for Easter dinner. Sadly I didn't take many pictures, but we enjoyed a delicious dinner and dessert, made fun Easter crafts, and even enjoyed some magic confetti eggs! Oh how we adore these sweet friends and fun time together.
