Seriously the kids LOVED the sand table. We put some of Aubrey's plastic dinosaur toys and went on a dig. We used some very "impressive" tools such as fabulous ones mommy pulled from the kitchen (man I need to make a trip to the dollar store ha!). We used cups, a wisk, several spoons, and even wooden utensils.
{This little guy loved to explore with sand and also very much loved to eat it}
We did take a few breaks for some sports games. We were all smiles as we bounced and crawled all over the deck. We are currently into a mixture of golf and soccer. It's hilarious.
Bubbles were also a great hit. We used this dollar store find for some good ole bubble play. It may or not have run out of battery juice within the first hour, but still an hour worth of fun for a dollar. Winning! Our morning lasted almost 2 hours outside. Liam took his early nap while sweet sister came in with me to relax and have a snack. But before long, lunch came and we were back outside and ready to play.Before long, the deck became too hot, so Liam problem solved and simply just got into the sand bucket. I think he's a genius. We loved digging, tossing, and of course eating sand. Later we would love that he was not a fan of leaving the sand. Tears for days!
To cool off, Aubrey was the first one to jump in and enjoy some gator pool fun. The water was really too cold which she would tell you, but boy it didn't stop her from climbing right in. She first decided she would water the plants (grass and weeds). Then she quickly began to water her brother. Liam seemed to enjoy but quickly was ready to get out. He liked playing with the balls and gardening tools next to the pool.
