Special Saturday & Duke Baby Besties

While mommy and daddy were out, our sweet babe enjoyed a special Saturday with her Duke baby besties. The kiddos enjoyed a fun afternoon of outdoor baby play, sand and water tables, push toys, and friendly fun.
I love the way, the two girls were watching Jacob explore the toys. It is so amazing to think how much these kids have grown. I am so thankful to Stephanie and Adam for taking care of our girl. I love these sweet photos that captured their Saturday fun together.

Friendship Feast and Baby Besties!

As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are right around the corner, we are reminded what we are truly THANKful for. We are thankful for each other and our sweet little girl who melts our hearts daily. For a family that is supportive and loving. For friends that are truly a second family and for sweet children that will grow up with our baby girl. For our ABF and church family that encourage our growth and walk with God. We are thankful for our jobs and for the people we work with. For my 18 (now 16) children in my classroom. We are truly thankful for each breath given, for each moment cherished with those we love, and for traditions that will be cherished for a lifetime.

One of my favorite traditions is our college annual Friendship Feast. I truly love these sweet friends. From college, to marriage, to our lives as parents, it has been a true adventure. So here's to great traditions, great food, and great friendships! Enjoy some sweet pictures of our evening together!

I do have to say we have some pretty amazing chefs with a pretty tasty menu. It included turkey and gravy, homemade stuffing, fruit salad, garlic mashed potatoes, creamy macaroni and cheese, salad... and of course you cannot forget dessert. This is one of my most favorite meals of the year!

Our little guys have been friends for years now, but I have to say this was the most adorable get together. From hugs, playing with toys, races around the room, and cuddling up on a couch to watch a favorite tv show was pretty priceless.

I sure do love this little lady! Aubrey did great at the dinner and stayed up way past her bed time.

Now for the next collection of photos... you just had to be there. From feeding baby girls puffs to bribing our sweet little boys and of course making sure little miss didn't just topple over on her face, these next few pictures were memories and melt your heart moments in the making. Let's just say these mama's were clapping and over joyed with the "preciousness" that you are about to see. Oh how I love these adorable little besties:)

I sure do love these mamas and their sweet kiddos. It is crazy to think last year, there were only 2 little boys. This year we were joined by three little ladies. And next year we will have another sweet baby girl making a total of 6 children. It's amazing what a year or two can bring!

Now of course what would friendship feast be without our traditional pictures?

For our college crew near and far, we send so much love to you. Time may take us to new places, but we'll never forget where we came from.

From our family to yours,
We wish you many blessings filled with THANKSGIVING!

Our Second Family

I think my husband said it best...

"The Lord is continuously pouring out blessings on Alicia, Aubrey, and I through our wonderful friends who have gifted us with their time, gifts and food! Aubrey will grow up to see what Alicia and I believe to be our second family..." We cannot express the gratitude we have for our friends that truly are a second family to us. Enjoy some sweet pictures of our friends meeting our little lady.

Michael's Surprise 30th!

Saturday night, gathered with friends and family, we celebrated a best friend's 30th birthday surprise. Our night consisted of great people, delicious food, lots of fun, and an aggie victory over SMU. I truly am so thankful for these friends that we call family. We have formed more than a decade of memories with these sweet people and are so excited for those yet to come. Thank you to our Fant family who hosted this fun surprise party at their beautiful home. The fall weather was perfect for an outdoor party. From sweet babes, delicious cake (as I had to try both vanilla and chocolate options... baby girl was hungry), great conversation, and even a guitar solo and performance by my favorite 3 year old... I have to say it was surely a sweet night! Enjoy some action shots of the party!

What a FANTastic party and celebration of our dear friend, Michael. Here's to the next 30:)

Mike's 32 Candles and Friendly Fun!

Each month we gather with our college crew for a fun "family" activity. This month, we celebrated the birthday of our friend, Mike, at the Dukes residence in Frisco. It was a fun laid back evening with BBQ, 32 candles on a delicious cake, lots of laughs, a nerdy phone game, and of course fun with friends and kiddos. To Mike our sweet friend and birthday boy... we are so glad you could make it back for a fun celebration and friendly fun!

Upon our arrival, I loved spending time with this adorable kiddo, Jacob, as I loved watching his sweet personality and his love for trucks and of course mama's aggie flip flops. Talk about an adorable photo opt waiting to happen.

For dinner, we enjoyed Rudy's BBQ. Talk about YUM! It was a good time of catch up with sweet friends and these super cute kiddos. Seriously love his sweet face!

Bryson and Woody Fun!
Adam and Miss Madelynn

After dinner the boys got together for a fun yet super nerdy phone game called Space Team. Ray describes it as, "being on the bridge of Starship Enterprise."  It cracked us ladies up. It is a team game where you are trying to save your ship to stay alive. In a nutshell, there is a lot of random commands that make absolutely no sense. We even took a try at it but died quickly in the second level. Talk about hilarious and a great time for our gents.

We enjoyed cuddling with our cuties and catching up. I sure do love these ladies and enjoy our time together.

Ray even got a bit of practice in with Miss Madelynn! After a few games it was time to bring out the cake and sign the famous birthday song to Mike. We wish you many years of blessings and a quick return back to the big D for more friendly fun.

Thanks to our sweet friends for hosting a fun birthday celebration. We enjoyed some great friendly fun and catch up! I look forward to next month's activities.
