Baby Bath Time

Yesterday, the husband and I were super excited about baby girl's first official baby bath time at home. Through our baby basics class provided by the hospital, we were eager to try out our new parenting bath time skills. During bath time preparation, little Miss was good to go, but as most babies was not a fan of being undressed or wet. So needless to say, poor little girl was not a fan. And while she cried her poor little eyes out, mama and daddy were proud of the job we did and of course loved her sweet smelling and super soft baby skin.

 

After bath time, we spent some time cuddling and read a few sweet bedtime stories. This was one of my favorite activities by far:) But quickly these sweet moments turned into a long night. Since birth, she has not been a good sleeper or eater. Poor girl is just always hungry which breaks this mama's heart. We walked, we cuddled, we swaddled, we ate, we swang, we sang... We tried everything and poor little girl just could not be settled until her exhaustion put her to bed. Sadly she would not sleep in the pack n play, the swing, or the bouncer. The only way little miss would sleep was on our chest or in our arms. At this point, being only 3 days old, I was fine with this sweet bonding time, but knew this might be trouble for the future. With weight loss, jaundice, and sleep issues all being on my mind, I am so thankful that our questions would quickly be answered as our pediatrician appointment would be the next morning.
