Dinner @ Dickey's w/ the Dukes!

Tonight Ray and I met up with Stephanie and Adam for dinner at Dickey's. On Mondays Dickey's has dollar pulled pork sandwiches with dollar sides and dollar drinks. What a fun inexpensive way to dine out:) I always love our time with the Dukes especially when baby Jacob will be making his appearance within the next few months!!! Here's to many many more outtings with our Dukes and almost family of 3!

Alicia Zellner enjoyed a wonderful service, ihop for lunch, bought a jacket at burlington, random road trip looking at houses, two redbox movies, queso, and cuddling on the couch on a rainy day is my perfect weekend!!! Yay for no school Monday! Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

My day off I plan to clean, do laundry, study, short break for lunch, more study and throw some movie watching in. Gosh this feels like college. Ha!

Alicia Zellner has been misspelling the word Dickey's and is totally full on sweet tea. Had a great night with the Dukes... and soon to be baby boy Jacob:) Also is it bad that I do not know if my spelling of "misspelled" is correct. Sad I know! Ha!

My New Do, Husband & Wifey Pics, & Girl Talk!

My Saturday was filled with a fun girl's afternoon outting. My sweet friend, Jes and I grabbed some Starbucks drinks and left for our 11:45 hair cut appointment at our Salon in McKinney. I can't believe 5 weeks has past since my first big girl hair cut and it was definitely time for a trim. But as you can see, I decided to take the plunge and go even shorter! What do you think of the new do?!?!

Later I went to Target for some small errand shopping then came back to the apartment to hang out with my two furbabies until the hubs returned home from Frisbee. We have entered his Winter League Season of Frisbee which means each Saturday until March he will play two games... and today he came home victorious! Upon his return we had to take a few husband and wifey pics to celebrate the new do:)



Tonight he and Michael were heading downtown to go see Girl Talk. Let me explain further as I was asked a few times if the boys were going to see a random chick flick. :) In my husband's words... Girl Talk AKA Greg Gillis... is a mixologist who creates mash ups of pop and rap songs from several decades. Here is a picture of the gents before the concert.



Tonight, I am cuddling up on the couch with the pups and enjoying a quiet night at home doing my two favorite things... one being the obvious.... blogging and the other which has become a recent hobby to online home search. I know I am way ahead of schedule, but it's ok just to look right?!?!

Our Furbabies!

Oh how I love these two furbabies! And yes I emphasize babies or furbabies because we are those kind of people. We are dog people... people that do anything for our pups...

...we give up sleep, time, bedspace, the works for these two cuties. Oh... well I guess I can remove bedspace as we no longer allow these two in our room. Toby is too forceful when it comes to his space and Mattie while extremely cute likes to steal your pillow and barks at the rain. So now I guess I can just say couch space. But with all that being said... oh how I love these two. I love their doggy breath, I love how they cuddle, I love their personalities, and most importantly I love how they are apart of our cute family of four! So here's a post just to the pups... to Toby and Mattie or Boo Boo and Moo Moo as I have lately been calling them. So here's to the furbabies... our first kiddos. We love you!

Lately!

I absolutely love New Year! It is a time for self reflection and to make any revisions in your life... big or small... and while this can be done any time of year it is nice to have a definitive starting point:) One of my goals this year is to continue blogging and to make more blog friends, write more comments to my fellow bloggers, and to document more of the random happenings in our lives. It has really been difficult to be apart from so many of our family members. Blogging has been such a wonderful way to keep in touch.

So to keep the ball rolling for this new year I wanted to update those on what's been going on lately with the Zellners... new tips... comments... etc

1. As per previous posts... we had our first snowfall of the new year.
2. Spatulas double as ice scrapers and are more preferred
3. I met up with Jennifer, a great friend from high school, for dinner at Blue Goose this past Thursday
3. Ray and I had dinner with the Fants and baby Bryson tonight
4. Ray began his winter Frisbee league this past Saturday and will continue each Saturday until March
5. While I should have already began to study for my special education content exam that will be starting this week as I will sign up for the test shortly
6. For the month of January... each Monday Dickies BBQ offers $1 pulled pork sandwiches with $1 sides
7. Toby and Mattie prefer their green squeaky toys to their blue. Aren't dogs color blind?
8. I call the pups Boo Boo and Moo Moo... wow I have become such a horrible "baby talker" and sadly sometimes refer to the dogs as the kids
9. I still walk 3 times per week with a lady from work
10. If you aren't aware I have given up desserts this year except for once a month to indulge. It is the 10th and I have already had mine for January so I'll let you know how it goes:)
11. I have realized during this cold snap that I do not truthfully own closed toed shoes... except for my running shoes...which is sadly a bad idea due to these ridiculous temps.
12. I dislike socks with a passion. Could be the reason for number 11
13. I do not drive in ice... My wonderful husband drove me to work this morning as I continued to wake up during the night having fears that my car would end up in a ditch due to the ice and snow on the roads for yesterday's freak storm.
14. Yep still addicted to chapstick. I would not be looking for this to fall under any new year's resolutions or to discontinue anytime soon.
15. This week is college week at school! WHOOP to my AGGIES! I love wearing that beautiful maroon with jeans all week:)
16. Tonight's dinner of red beans and rice actually surprised me... it was super tasty. My husband is an amazing cook!
17. I ordered 4 boxes of girl scout cookies today... thin mints for me and samoas for the hubs
18. I am getting my hair did again this Saturday and having a girl day with my good friend Jes from work
19. 9 weeks until Spring Break
20. I am looking forward to teaching Summer School as a Teacher then having my first official year next year Teaching:) So gotta get my portfolio together and get the process started:)

I guess that's about it for this lady for now. What fun things are u up to lately?!?!

Winter League: Team Swilly Gonzales
January 8th marked the beginning of Ray's Frisbee winter league. Each Saturday he travels to Oakpoint and plays two matches. He is really excited about the chance to better himself at the sport he loves playing and is looking forward to potentially trying out for a club team. More updates will come.
