Our New Addition- Our Prius!

After many years of car trouble and unlucky mishaps, it was finally time to retire gray ghosty. While this was not something that we had wanted to do at this time, it was pretty much forced on us as a new transmission was our next step. For a 2004 Golf Volkswagon that had a missing side mirror (or shall we say stolen mirror), hail damage, hood popped off 2x, several minor accidents, and other various cosmetic issues, we knew it was her time. This Saturday we set off to look at a more reliable and efficient vehicle... basically we had our mind set on the Prius. After weeks of research, test driving two options, and spending about 4 hours at the dealership, we were sold on this one! We are so thankful for a car that as I specified earlier will be a safe and more reliable option... and of course comes with A/C :)
So out with the old and in with the new!

Garrett's Graduation

Friday night I journied to the Allen Event Center to help celebrate the graduation of a sweet friend. I am so proud of Jessica and her accomplishments. I am thankful for her friendship and loved celebrating her special moment with her husband, Wayne, and their sweet son, Ethan. After watching her take her celebratory walk across stage, the four of us made our way to Freebirds for a little after hours celebration. Enjoy some pictures of our night.

  Congrats lady!

So He Can Change A Diaper....

When asking my husband what to title this special blog post... this is what he said. So I of course had to honor his wishes. While he has only changed one diaper that belonged to our niece as a small baby, it was a rather easy one (hopefully not TMI) so the thought had gone through my mind. Well ladies and if any gents actually read my blog... let me just say that the title fits. He can definitely change a diaper, but more importantly he babysat this adorable toddler all by himself while the wifey here went to a graduation ceremony. During the ceremony, I received these sweet pictures and knew these two boys were having a blast. When I came back to pick up the hubs... I was met by the little man and he told me himself that he had fun with Mr. Ray. The sweeter story came when Ray was on the couch talking to mommy and daddy, and Bryson snuggled up next to my main squeeze. Wow, it totally melted my heart to hear. So here are a few sweet moments from tonight. Looking forward to the next night with Bryson!

Beginning Teacher...

This past Thursday, PISD held its annual Teacher and Beginning Teacher of the Year Gala. The theme: Teaching by Design. The decor was beautiful and the company was amazing. I was joined by my husband and fabulous teammates. I am thankful to work with women who continue to encourage and support me. I have grown so much throughout these two years and am thankful for the opportunity. The night was an additional reminder of God's blessings. I have been given an opportunity to teach, to change lives, and to make a difference. Three years ago, I would never have imagined my life to go in this specific direction. But it is He who directs our path in the manner that serves His purpose. I could not be more grateful and honored. Enjoy some pictures from our night.

A Scoop of Love!

This Sunday, our ABF held a sweet ice cream themed shower for a sweet friend and her little boy, Westin, due in early July. The house was beautifully decorated with a delicious ice cream bar and adorable themed decor. Both Carissa and Amy were amazing hosts and helped to truly shower this soon-to-be mama with lots of love.

Cinco de Mayo- Ode to the Mustache

Happy Cinco de Mayo
This Saturday, Ray and I enjoyed a productive afternoon running errands, my husband's hair cut, and ending up at our favorite yogurt shop on Custer. With such a hot day, something delicious and cold was exactly what we needed.

Since I had been a bit under the weather this week, we decided to take our afternoon a little slower. We watched a movie and enjoyed a few hours in before we would head down to Richardson for the McLean Cinco de Mayo party.

They always throw such great theme parties. We were excited to get our pieces together. Of course we couldn't leave without this fabulous Party City sombrero, le mustache, and the pinata. I mean what would a party be without a pinata?!?! Before we left, we had to take our Zellner family photo.

Happy Cinco de Mayo from the Zellners
From delicious food, decor, mustaches, to pinatas, fish bowl games, and to very interesting information provided by urbandictionary.com... we had a blast! So enjoy some pictures from our night!

 Happy Cinco de Mayo friends!
