Happy Monday to those that may be feeling a bit under the weather or a little like this picture this morning. Ha! I wish you such a wonderful week and remember... at least Mondays happen only once a week:)
In regards to this morning's post... enjoy some weekend wrap up filled with rainy day cancellations, movie nights, fun with friends, and updates.

This past Friday, Ray and I enjoyed a rainy night inside with the pups. I know I can definitely see a pattern over the course of the past few weeks; however, this rain has definitely kept us in as of late. But we didn't mind a little
rainy day cancellation. Instead we decided to
celebrate our Friday night in with pizza and a few movies. You can obviously tell who picked which movie.... Hot Tub Time Machine vs. Remember Me with Robert Pattinson! Ha! But marriage is about compromise:)

As we picked up our pizza about a block away and began to head home, this was what was lurking around the corner. Is it sad when you can literally point out where it is raining up the street... because all of a sudden a horrible down pour and lightning storm hit. Quickly we hurried inside with umbrellas extended. It definitely came to mind as lightning crashed behind me... is it exactly safe to be holding metal? But after a quick run with an umbrella in one hand and a soaked pizza box with marinara in the other, we made it inside... with soaked pants and mud filling my shoes. I was definitely ready to get changed into my nice warm pjs and cuddle up on the couch for a relaxing night in the hubs and pups. Thank goodness for weekends:)
On Saturday, we had made plans with the Fants for a
FANTastic pool day in Garland. And while it had rained for a few quick moments that afternoon, it turned out to be a very beautiful day!

After pool time with friends, we came inside for fun catch up, games, and tasty treats! Once inside we all got to catch up and play with sweet Bryson who had just woken up from a nap. He continues to grow and change daily. He has the cutest little personality and is definitely a very active little boy. I have honestly never seen such a happy baby.... a baby that is so inquisitive...
Like his mother and I... Bryson was very excited and interested in the Cheese balls... I mean who wouldn't be? Ha! But seriously... he is such a sweet little boy that both Ray and I totally love. We would only be so lucky if we were blessed with a baby as good/sweet as him:) It is crazy and amazing how time flies. I cannot believe he will be 7 months old within a few weeks.
For dinner we enjoyed some very yummy cheese/bacon burgers with sweet potato fries. It was SOOOO amazing and yes I think I am truly in love with sweet potato fries. Yum! Again thank you to such amazing chefs! We ended the night with a fun game of Gestures!
So here's to... cheese balls, babies, pre arranged marriages:), Gestures... I do believe the girls won, the Newly Wed Game, azul blue, skinny girl, moving, promotions, teaching, yummy cheese/bacon burgers with lots of colby jack, cheese in my drink, pool days, ketchup is the best condiment, running partners, and of course best friends! To Kristin and Michael, thank you for such a fun night. We love having the opportunity to catch up with you guys and as always look forward to more time together.... which will be a lot easier come Sept 24th:) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a
FANTastic day with such amazing friends!
This Saturday was also our
niece's 3rd birthday party in Alabama. It was a super cute
Mickey and Minny theme... (joint party). Both Ray and I wish we could have shared in such a sweet moment, but wish Farrah, Ryan, and Olivia (the birthday girl) the most wonderful of wishes. Her birthday is July 14, 2010. I cannot believe miss Livie Grace is such a big little girl. Here are some pictures from the party! Enjoy!

The Set Up

Happy 3rd (almost) birthday baby girl:)
This past Sunday, as previously mentioned our family lost poor Gixer... We received the news Sunday night that he was no longer with us. Both Ray and I pray for Becky (Ray's sister) and Todd for the loss of your pup. He was truly loved!!!

In Memory of Gixer taken July 2010!
This weekend had so many amazing and some difficult moments. May we always keep our hearts and our minds open. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and sending those praises and prayers to all of those around us!
