Celebrating Kaylan!

Kaylan,

With you, every time is a good time to celebrate! From beer and wine tastings and tours to holiday theme parties; from dancing the "stanky leg" to belting out 80s tunes and family karaoke; from jet setting and long distance traveling to slumber parties and hanging out in boxes; From expressing your friendly ghetto side to frolicking in the great outdoors; from bargain shopping and coupon cutting to whoop-ing and cult like A&M chants; from ring days to graduation ceremonies to Ozona Mondays, Ninfa Tuesdays, Optional Wednesdays, Office Thursdays, and to each weekend theme party and get together. There has always been a reason to celebrate with you! So here's to you... the past... present... and future! May we all truly remember to always celebrate!

Love,
Your Bridesmaids

My Want-To-Do's!

I think there are so many things in life that we have to do... many of us try to stay organized and write list after list. I too am that person. I actually love making lists! And there is nothing wrong with that. But today that's not exactly what I want to talk about. I don't want to sit here and talk about all the things I have to do... I want to tell you about all the things I want to do! So today... I am making my
"want-to-do" list!

1. Help Kaylan with any extra wedding details: Today we are having a "Program Party" at K's place! Friday I've taken off of work and will be attending her bridal brunch, rehearsal, and dinner. Saturday is the Wedding day!!!
2. Day dream about the beach! I am so excited for a vacation... as if you couldn't tell. Only 13 more days until I get to see my Zellner Fam! Is it weird how excited I am about packing?!?!
3. Learn to sew and start making fun craft projects
4. Visit College Station
5. Go on a picnic with the hubs and pups
6. More pool days... and getting some type of summer color
7. More blogging:)
8. Dinners with friends
9. Catching up on all of our shows on DVR
10. Celebrating more anniversaries. I love my hubby!
11. House hunting (more of a hobby)
12. Road trips to visit family & friends
13. Keeping up with P90X & Katy Trail Runs
14. Finding and attending fun Dallas activities including Taste of Addison & Grapefest
15. RELAXING!!!!!!!

So the question is... what are some of your "want-to-do's"?!?!

Have such a wonderful week/end. Again it may be a few days before you catch me blogging... but when I return just you wait! A sea of pictures and posts will sure follow:)

Alicia

Humpday Happenings!

"What's Happening Hot Stuff?!?!" Sorry I just had a strange recollection of Sixteen Candles and Long Duck Dong's famous quote....

Well moving on to our Humpday Happenings... So many events are right around the corner and I am just getting super excited for them. This week will be filled with a few fun last minute wedding details for Kaylan, trip planning mania for Florida, and some fun family time with my hubs! So do expect a large amount of pictures and postings to come...

But let's not forget about some interesting previous activities and some of what this Zellner fam has been up to.

Last week I celebrated a small Cinco De Mayo dinner at home with my hubby and pups. We had some very delicious enchiladas, beans, rice, and of course homemade strawberry margaritas! YUM!

And while I would love to say that we've been on track with our P90X and Katy Trail outings... I have to be honest and say both of those have been a little on the back burner these past few weeks... honestly... due to laziness and my wonderful ability to be super clumsy and injure myself for the ?!?!# time. Ha! Oh and speaking of injuries... check out this baby I got the other day!

I thought it would be a fun idea to play ball with the pups on the floor... let's just say with all the excitement that Toby was going for the ball... I layed down... and sadly he got my arm as well. I think I scared the poor pup to death when I screamed... immediately tail between his legs, he dropped the ball... my arm... and layed down in the "please don't be mad at me mommy" stance. Shall I say I am a huge bruiser?!?! Thank goodness for makeup and spray on tans! I have a wedding to go to in 3 days!

But its ok because to make me feel better we went out for Whataburger and ate completely unhealthy... but oh so good! Ha!

More posts to follow. Have a lovely week and I'll be posting soon!

Love,
Alicia

Tuesday Tidbits: Trip Advisor

In about 15 days, Ray and I will be headed out to Panama City Beach, Florida to join our family for some fun in the sun and some amazing relaxation time. Then the "planner" in me realized... well boy... we gotta get pack'n! So it then drove me to this idea for my Tuesday Tidbit blog post... what should I pack?

So I would love your help. I do know the obvious ones including swimming clothes, toiletries, and the obvious camera with charging action... but for all of you beach bums out there... what are some fun things to pack that the every day person might not think of?

Also... we'll be driving... so please know that we can bring anything and everything we want!

Thanks for the advice! I look forward to hearing all the fun activities/items we should bring along!

PS: Please pray that this oil spill does not affect our beautiful Florida sands!

Love,
Alicia

3 Years Since Aggieland!

...there's a spirit that can never be told... it's the spirit of Aggieland!

On May 10, 2007... I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Business. I had the support and love of all those around me and new at that very moment I was closing one chapter of my life and so ready for another to begin.

4 Generations of woman:
My Great Aunt Alice, Aunt Erlene, mom Kathy, and myself!

Two best men:
My brother Chris and my (future husband) Ray!

3 years ago, I began a journey that changed my life forever.... and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Ray and I decided to move to Dallas and start our lives together. We have such an amazing support system and family in our friends here in Dallas, but will never forget where we came from. We feel so blessed for all that we have been given... amazing opportunities, our cute fam of 4, friends, and the church... and really are just excited for all that is to come.

I think sometimes we assume after graduation that everything will just come to us...that every thing we desire will magically make an appearance... that everything will always have a rhyme or reason and a sense of order. I think this may be one of those times where I don't really have the answers to everything... and I'm coming to learn that really is ok. Because life truly is about the journey and that's definitely something I don't want to miss along the way.

So happy 3 years and may we all truly thank each new opportunity given as it is another step in our journey of life:)

Love,
Alicia

Favorite Condiment Monday!

... which I totally do... and now have become hungry just thinking of it. Ha! But really in this instance... I just mean that I love catch up! So on this May morning... that's just what I'd love to do.

So a few things have happened since the last time we spoke. We had a wonderful weekend filled with many funtivities including a Friday movie date night, pool hang out and dinner with friends on Saturday

The ladies with our lovely pink "glow!"

The gents... and the amazing "Schrute Farms Beets" shirt worn by James! Love it!

... and showing some love to all of the amazing mom's out there for Mother's Day this past Sunday! To all the mom's near and far... it is amazing what you do day in and day out for those you love. We are all truly blessed to have such amazing women in our life... and on this day we celebrate you!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!

W
elcome Monday!

And now we have made it to Monday ... a brand new week with brand new opportunities. I say this because over the course of the past few months, I've been waiting on a few things... answers to help us make some important decisions.... and sometimes those prayers are answered and it is beyond your wildest dreams... and other times you might not get the answer you were looking for. But I have to believe in both cases that God's plan is so great and is more than we could ever dream of. I am so thankful to know that opportunities truly are endless and at the end of the day all I need in this world are those I love and those that love me. So this Monday I am glad to have my answer regardless and ready to move forward in the path that has been laid before me. Our opportunities truly are endless and even though one door will close, many more will open in its place. I am so excited to see where this journey will take us...

I wish you all a very wonderful week and look forward to so many exciting things to come... cough cough... The Brushwood Wedding on May 15, 2010 & Our Family Vacation in Florida! I'm so excited about some much needed fun in the sun with the fam:)

Love,
Alicia
