Such Much Fun at Yesterland Farm

On Saturday, November 1, the husband, babe, and I packed our car for a small road trip to Yesterland Farms in Canton, TX. We met up with our Fantlet friends around noon and enjoyed a full afternoon of pumpkin patching, delicious eats, rides and games, a petting zoo, playground, and even some pig races.

While we have passed through Canton a time or two, we've never had the opportunity to stop and indulge in some of Canton's finest festivities. I absolutely loved Yesterland Farms! It was a photo opt waiting to happen. The kids had so much fun exploring the farm, playing with pumpkins, picking up corn, petting animals, and playing on the playground. Enjoy pictures of our afternoon fall fun with our Fantlet friends.

 When we came upon the corn maze, I cannot explain how excited I was. I had always wanted to do one, even while knowing that my sense of direction is a little off. It was so fun and made for some cute little photos.

I do have to say this corn maze was pretty intense. It may have even taken a while off of our stroller as we pushed our way through some pretty tight areas. But all and all it was super fun!

We are so thankful for these amazing friendships and for fall afternoon adventures. We definitely had so much fun at Yesterland Farms. I'm looking forward to another visit to Yesterland Farm during the Christmas season.

Wall-E Love, Halloween Fun, and Trick-or-Treats 2014

{Ray's home made Wall-E costume}

I absolutely love the fall. It brings cooler weather, fall festivals, yummy drinks and eats, boots and scarves, themed dress up and photo opts, and so many special memories with my family. This weekend we celebrated Halloween, traveled to Yesterland Farm in Canton with our Fantlet friends, and enjoyed our 3rd annual ABF Chili Lunch with sweet church friends. It can't get any better than that. This post will focus on Fun Halloween activities, Wall-E Love, and Fantlet fun. Other activity links to follow:)

Halloween day fell on a Friday this year. Ray spent most of Thursday night and Friday morning finishing special touches on his Wall-E costume. I have to say, it is my most favorite costume to date. This year we were a little rushed for time... to say the least. With Auby's birthday and birthday party, dedication, visiting family, and busy schedules, we kind of procrastinated on this year's costumes. But in the end I think they turned out great. Before daycare, I took a few fun pictures of Auby and her cat ears. I love these adorable pictures of our girl. The mornings are some of my favorite moments with her. She continues to crack me up and keep me on my toes but I do love every moment of it.

While the kitty ears quickly became a chew toy, we finished our breakfast and were ready to begin our day. Halloween at school was a lot of fun with my first graders. It was surely a crazy and chaotic day, but filled with so much excitement by my first graders. From Pumpkin Math on Thursday, planting in our garden, a birthday celebration, our Friday Fair, a Magic School Bus Haunted House, candy graphing, and lots of super hero dress, it was an absolute blast.

After school, we quickly gathered our things and made our way to Kristin's parent's house for pizza and trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. The weather had turned rather chilly. Thank goodness for baby turtle-necks, jackets, and mama cuddles to stay warm. It was a perfect night. Thank you so much for our dear friends for letting us join them.

After dinner, it was time to get our kiddos ready. I just love watching Auby and the twins "play" together. There is nothing sweeter than Madelynn's running hugs and hearing both of the girls say Aubeeeee!

What a special moment! Auby's first Trick-or-Treat was with Kristin's mom, Cindy. I am so thankful that they captured these little pictures and a video of Aubrey's first Trick-or-Treat and Halloween experience.

Let the night's funtivities begin!

{Yay Candy!!!}

I cannot tell you how excited she was about these nerds. So I had a definite mommy fail when I realized that she had been chewing on the box and had nerds all over her tutu. Plus who knows how many made it in her mouth as well as any other chocolate candy she devoured that night.

From our first trick or treats and delicious eats, attempting to choose candy, throwing our candy bucket, strolling around the neighborhood, chilly night, baby cuddles, and good friends, I have to say it was a successful and memorable night.

She did so well even though it was a bit after her bedtime. Once we returned, we quickly changed into our girly skeleton jammies, assessed our candy (as you can see sucker in hand), we said our good-byes, and left for home. Happy Halloween 2014!
