Meeting Baby Haley

Welcome Miss Haley Noelle to the world. We are so excited to meet you sweet girl and so thankful for your mommy and daddy.

(on a small side note, isn't this such a beautiful photo?!? What a beautiful baby girl and I love that sweet smile. We used Photography by Kelli for our newborn photographer and we just loved her!)

Haley Noelle, 8 lbs and 4 oz of beautiful baby was born on April 14th. I love that she shares a birthday with the hubs. That Wednesday, we had the opportunity to meet our sweet friends at the hospital and help celebrate their sweet little addition. We are so excited for you dear friends and cannot wait to watch the girls grow up together. She's absolutely perfect! Enjoy adventures with your sweet fam of four. All our love!

ABF Easter Project

On Saturday April 12th from 1-4PM, our Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) had the opportunity to share in a wonderful Easter service project and celebration.

Our volunteers joined together to help host an Easter Party to share the true story of Easter and grace. From face painting, Easter etched art crafts, games, raffles, food, and one giant Easter egg hunt, we had a great time. The weather was perfect, a bit overcast and windy, but it didn't rain as previously projected. I say it was a great day for a party. Enjoy pictures from our afternoon Easter celebration.
As soon as the goals were set, children of all ages came to join the party. It was so fun watching our men take on these kids. I asked one of the boys what the score was. He quickly told me that they were schooling the old guys 5-2.It was so fun watching the kids (old and young) together.

For lunch, we served hotdogs, popcorn, and juice.

Worship leaders joined us.
These ladies were so sweet
Easter Egg Hunt with thousands of tiny eggs
Let the hunt begin!
The children were filled with happiness and a lot of delicious candy.
I am so thankful for these sweet people that we get to share life with. What a truly amazing day. We received lots of comments about our Jesus and who He is and what He's given us. What a blessed day!

Let's Rock & Roll on Ray's 30th!

On Monday, April 14th we celebrated my husband's 30th birthday in true "rocker" style. Around 5AM after our typical morning wake up call by our eldest furbabe, I made breakfast and began to transform our kitchen into a Rock and Roll Cafe

That morning we ate breakfast cinnamon rolls and dinned in some cute rocker themed gear. Baby girl even had a cute pair of pretty in pink glasses; however, she sadly was more interested in eating them as compared to wearing them.

It was surely a fun morning celebrating daddy!

Baby in Bloom

Today was a perfect day for an outdoor family play date. The weather was gorgeous with a bit of a chill this morning, but by later afternoon was absolutely perfect.

We gathered a blanket, a few toys, and of course the camera.I couldn't have missed these sweet little baby smiles and giggles.

She loved sticking her tongue out and feeling the wind.

Auby experienced her first touch of grass.
She loved pushing up, sitting, and crawling outside.
She is definitely our little wiggle worm.
She also loved playing with her puppy, Mattie. She really enjoyed pulling on her collar and petting her. I surely love my baby and furbabe.
I am so excited that we will be celebrating Easter this week with our sweet little bunny. I am so thankful for these perfect little moments in time. We're definitely enjoying our sweet baby in bloom!

Aubrey's Month-iversary Series: Six Months

Dear Auby,
Mommy is so proud of you sweet angel and feels so honored to call you my baby girl and daughter. While holding you in my tummy, I couldn't wait to meet you, to love on you, and to watch you grow. Can I say that you are doing just that... you are growing. Six months has come so quickly and as my first graders ask (they LOVE talking about you) what my super hero power would be. I quickly reply that I would have the power to stop time. Sweet girl, as I sadly am not that super hero (hopefully I'll always be one in your eyes), instead I will cherish the time given as you will only be this little for so long. As each month before, I will record all of the special things about you. I don’t want to miss a minute. So continue to smile, to dream, to learn, and to grow (but not too quickly), and as you do those things, we promise to love you, to teach you, and to grow you as God has planned. Happy six months sweet lady.

Date: 4/7/14
Age: Six Months
Measurements: Auby measures 16 lbs 1.5 oz in weight (54th %); 26 1/4 in height (69th %); 16 1/4 in head circumference (19th %);
Clothing: You are pretty much wearing 6 month only outfits with a few 3-6 month pj onesies with feet. For some reason, many of those are long enough for your sweet body. I have enjoyed putting you in Spring outfits this month; however, we have had some unexpected cold days as well. So you have been in anything from short-sleeved onesies, to pjs with footies, leggings, hoodies and jackets. I can't wait for Spring/Summer and to buy you your first baby bathing suit. (daddy says no two pieces just yet;)
Eating: Solids has been our answer to a happy baby. You have enjoyed lots of new foods this past month including rice cereal, avocados, apples, bananas, and peas. You have decreased the amount of formula you drink over this past month. You drink 1 bottle in the morning, 3 at daycare, and 1 at night. We also include rice cereal feedings as well as a solid night feeding before your bottle. You are a lover of food. This makes both mommy and daddy happy as you don't seem to be too picky. While I can't say that you loved bananas, you still ate them. Peas have been our only no go on food. You ate them, but they didn't sit too well with you. I can't say we are going to try peas again anytime soon. ;) Per the pedi, we can move you to stage 2 foods which are foods that are thicker. We've also been told to include proteins and potatoes. I'm excited to have you try more foods, different textures, and so forth. Daddy has made your food each night sweet girl while mommy feeds you. We have really enjoyed these special jobs. I will say that some foods are definitely messier than others. I have had my fair share of apple and pea pieces on my clothes and in my hair. But as I always say, you are so smiley and love eating. Before solids, you were so hungry. It is hard to admit but there were several times that you came after my chin. Talk about awkward to have bruises from my baby trying to gum my chin;)
Sleeping: We have found our answer to those sleepless nights. After your evacuation date from our room into your own, we found that putting you on your tummy was our answer. You love to sleep on your tummy. We do typically found you in a completely different direction than you started. Like I've always said (even when you were in my tummy) you sure liked to move. Auby you also enjoy sleeping with your bottom up in the air and sometimes face down. This scared your mommy so badly when we first moved you out. I can say I had so many sleepless nights in the beginning afraid that you couldn't breath. You on the other hand slept like a baby. I'm much better now. You do fuss occasionally at night but are perfectly asleep. We've kept the heat on upstairs lately as it has gotten cold in your room. Each night we turn the night light on and the humidifier. It has surely helped with your stuffiness and congestion. We begin your bedtime routine each night between 7:15-7:30. We feed you your solid around 6 then baby bath and some family dance time and/or stories. Then we get your final change and bottle of the night... a prayer... and you are down by 8:00. It works like a charm. Well unless Toby or Mattie hear something and wake you from your slumber. Let's just say that does not make mommy and daddy too happy when you are woken up. You have slept through the night for this whole month minus a day or two. Typically that has been due to weather or as I said a furbabe's loud shouting during sleeping time. But you are a champ and I couldn't be happier. In the morning when I go to wake you, I sing you a good-morning song. It is one of my most favorite parts of the day... to see that morning smile. Talk about melt your heart.

- this month you will have two babysitters as mommy and daddy are going to a wedding and an Easter Party Service Project
- You like to turn backward into what we call your "dancer pose"

Likes: crinkle toys, loveys, anything you can chew on, pacis, solid foods, singing, dancing, airplane with mommy and daddy, being upside down, puppies, splashing in the water, watching tv, mommy's phone and camera,

Dislikes: car carrier, Nose Frieda and anything having to do with wiping your nose, if you cannot get a bottle fast enough, peas, barking that wakes you up, the garage door opening during nap/bedtime.

Watch sweet baby girl grow!

Come What May... (Mommy Moments)

I will love you until my dying day!

So as a mom, have you ever just had a cry your eyes out moment because your heart was just filled with so much happiness and love? Well really that was a rhetorical question because as a mother, I think it's safe to say we feel that way all the time. Tonight was just one of those super special, amazing moments and I couldn't wait to write about it. I have loved all the new activities that baby girl is is doing these days. From helping put her clothes on (really just putting her hands through the onesies), reaching out to us (some of the time), and this first (wrapping her arms around our neck), I have to say these are so fun. Tonight baby girl was so tired, but we wanted to extend her next feeding until bed time so that she may have a good night's sleep. After baby bath time and a fun fam dance party, she wrapped her arm around my neck and laid her head on my shoulder during Moulin Rouge's rendition of Come What May. Talk about melt your heart and throw in a few mama tears. Of course the wrapped arm lead to a bit of hair pulling, but this mama could care less. It was such a sweet little moment and I am so glad that Ray took a few photos to remember it by. We sure do love our sweet Auby and are so thankful for these sweet little stolen moments in time. Come what may baby girl... you have to know that you will ALWAYS be loved... until our dying day!

Sunday Funday in the Park 3.30.14

Spring has definitely made its way here to North Dallas. We have enjoyed so many beautiful Sundays outside over the past few weeks. It is a perfect way to slow down and enjoy our little family of three. This past Sunday after service, we made our way into McKinney and found one of our favorite family parks. This is the same park that my husband and I had taken our engagement pictures as well as spent many a night running along the path in preparation for an upcoming race. It was a perfect day for outdoor play and a picnic. I sure do love time with my favorite two. I have to say that this was one of my favorite days. So enjoy pictures of our afternoon, a delicious picnic lunch, baby play time, and of course a fun family photo opt.

I definitely look forward to all of the many special days ahead.
