"Who's Idea Was This Again?"

... my husband would ask me. I again would reply mine. ha! This morning after being woken up by both Toby and Ray's support phone, it was then decided by me that we should get up, be productive, and go walking. But of course it couldn't be just any kind... it needed to be the 9 miles that is White Rock. Why you ask? I still may be asking myself this as it has definitely been over three months since this lady's body has seen work out clothing but I guess the idea of getting up, picking up a tasty Chick-fil-a breakfast, and heading downtown to be where all the other athletes practice (not including myself in that one just making a note). There is something so motivating about being around people that actively work out. So here are a few of our pictures from this mornings outing. Also it needs to be noted that there was never a real intention of doing all 9 miles its just you get to the point of no return... no literally it would be longer to turn around then to complete the whole thing and that's really kind of what happened to us. So here's to my walking partner, for an awesome semi-Texas cool 8 o'clock summer morning, to my fingers swelling up like sausages, and to losing 900 calories:)

I am way too excited to be up around 7AM

July 4th Fun with our ABF!

As many of you, Ray and I celebrated our
July 4th with a BANG!

This year the husband and I enjoyed fabulous July Fourth fun with our ABF. Around 7:30 we all met at the Kennedy's in Richardson to watch a firework show with several couples from our Honeymooners group at church including the Goodings, Davis, Howards, Hares, Kennedys, and Zoutendams.

We had delicious treats including watermelon, pineapple, cookies, rice krispie treats that the husband and I had a blast making, and different sodas. We had a fun opportunity to catch up before the big show. Once dark, we all gathered our chairs and blankets for front row seats. It was definitely a spectacular show.

A big thanks to the Zoutendams for letting us ride with them. To all of our friends, we had a fabulous time. Happy Red, White, and Blue and for an Independence Day celebrated with such sweet friends. Here are a few cute pictures I borrowed from Courtney of our night. Enjoy:)

2 Year Engagiversary!

On July 3rd the husband and I celebrated our two year engagiversary at California Pizza Kitchen. We dined on a tasty appetizer, two types of pizza including margarita and white spinach, and chocolate cake dessert. It was definitely delicious. The pizza was good as always but really the appetizer and dessert was really the "icing on the cake" Thank goodness for gift cards:)

Here's to many more years of celebrating one of the most special days of my life....
the day I said YES:)

Sweet Summer Tidbits:)

So I've realized as of late that I've missed a few small blog...able activities. So far this summer we've enjoyed some fabulous outings. Some of the husband and my favorite food stops include miniature blizzards from Dairy Queen, $1 icees from Burger King (not the burgers... For some reason I'm totally opposed to their beef but yes to an occasional french fry... seriously I pulled a couple from the bag and out popped an A), Yogilicious... I guess just really anything cold since it's over 100 degrees in this North Dallas Summer.

I've also enjoyed a wonderful ELC night with my ladies early this summer on June 15th. We enjoyed our typical pizza option, an appetizer, coke (as seen in the picture) and tasty dessert. So now you may be questioning the yellow alien looking thing with the veil. Meet Boohbah! As described by google and various websites, it is an interactive entertainment character for preschoolers. It was also the previous year's mascot in the ELC and would soon be attending a wedding (needless to say an inside joke but made for a crazy and interesting picture... plus I brought the veil:)

Also this summer we have a few very special events including my sister-in-law Becky's birthday on July 3, our 2nd year engagiversary on July 3, a special Fourth of July Fireworks fun with our ABF, our niece's 4th birthday on July 14th, met sweet baby Pearson and was able to bring food to sweet friends at church, and have or will celebrate several birthdays of sweet friends and so forth. Happy Special Day to those very special people in our lives.

So I guess we're officially caught up on some sweet summer tidbits:) Hope you are having a fabulous summer. Looking forward to hear all that you've been up to!

Rudy's Dinner Date Night

Ray and I have been extremely excited for Rudy's to open in Allen. I have never seen anything built and open so quickly. Rudy's is one of our favorite BBQ eateries since college. This past Friday in celebration for the opening of Rudy's as well as to celebrate the end of my first ESY Summer School Session, Ray and I decided to make a fun dinner date night out of it. Believe me it did not disappoint. Oh and I would absolutely recommend the banana pudding as well:) Eat up and enjoy!
