Baby Bump'n #2: 39 Weeks

Number of weeks: 39 Weeks +2 days
Measurement: I am measuring right on track per my weekly doctor's visits.
Baby Size: At  39 weeks, Liam is the size of a mini watermelon.
Heartbeat: will update
Pregnancy Clothes: I am so thankful for sweet friends that have let me borrow their clothes. I'm feeling pretty frumpy and large these days. Some clothes fit but mostly are stretched to their limit.
Sleep/How I'm Feeling: Honestly I feel blessed and miserable all at the same time. I hate to say that I'm miserable as I know it is a true miracle to hold this little babe. A second pregnancy is always different, but I have to say it hasn't been the easiest of pregnancies. From lots of pain, sickness, body changes (which I can handle), blood pressure and sugar issues, nerve pain, contractions each day which have  honestly made me think we were a go several times... it has been truly hard. I also think waiting these extra weeks when we were all thinking he would arrive a few weeks early has put me in a bit of a funk. Now with all that being said, I absolutely love what each of these things mean. It means that my little man is getting bigger and stronger each and every day. Those kicks and jabs while painful mean that he's thriving and doing well. So with any negative I'm experiencing, I truly praise God for allowing me to grow this little life and for all the AMAZING things that will come of this short little difficult pregnancy experience.
Most Memorable Moment: I  have to say while I am honestly sad each day that you are not here with us (yes I know you will come in your own time and each day you are in my belly you are growing bigger and stronger) I have loved spending our borrowed time with big sister. I love hearing her little voice pray for each one of us including her baby brother. In my hormonal state I cannot say I haven't cried several times worrying about the changes that will take place once Liam arrives... but I know that Aubrey will be such a good big sister and maybe over a bit of time will come to love the change and her sweet baby.
Moving and Grooving: It is crazy how much you move. During the day, you like to do yoga stretches that roll my whole belly from side to side. Your favorite are rib kicks and jabs to the nerves in my legs. It definitely makes for some interesting little moments for mommy as they are very unexpected. At night, you are participating in a full out dance party or practice for your first marathon. You are a mover for sure!
Cravings: everything from sweets, chips and queso, margaritas, and wine. (These stay true)
What I look forward to: I have my final appointment this afternoon to check on progress. I will absolutely update as I'm so excited and looking forward to seeing when we may see our little man.

Baby Bump'n #2: Week 38: Sitting Cozy

38 Weeks and little man is growing like a weed. We are so ready for our little man to join our family. 12 days or less (I hope less) stand between us meeting our little guy. While I had previously progressed rather quickly in the beginning, it seems little man is sitting cozy. He is getting stronger with each day that passes so it does make this an uncomfortable last week or so, but when he's ready, we are as well. We absolutely cannot wait to share our little Liam with the world.

Number of weeks: 38 Weeks
Measurement: I am measuring right on track per my weekly doctor's visits.
Baby Size: At 38 weeks, babycenter says that little man is about the size of a leek. He is thought to weigh about 6.8 pounds and he is over 19.5 inches long.
Heartbeat: Heartbeat 145
Pregnancy Clothes: I am so thankful for sweet friends that have let me borrow their clothes. I'm feeling pretty frumpy and large these days. Some clothes fit but mostly are stretched to their limit.
Sleep/How I'm Feeling: Sleep was a thing of the past during the night. I have just recently been able to breath again. The last few weeks I was congested but am finally having some relief. I spend most of the night tossing and turning or getting up to go to the bathroom. I'm definitely in the later part of my third trimester so believing that I'll be comfortable would be silly at this point. I'm so ready for him to be here. It has definitely been a waiting game at this point. I have had several contractions that feel like it would be go time, but not enough to warrant a hospital visit just yet. Per the doctor, he's sitting cozy at this point. While I'm dilated to a 3 and over 80% effaced, I haven't made too much more progress this last week. Since little boy is getting heavy and bigger, I'm absolutely in more pain. He loves to sit on nerves in my legs which may cause them to buckle as well as my tailbone has been my biggest source of pain. I know the end is in sight and am holding on the best I can.

Most Memorable Moment: Liam's baby shower last weekend was purely the most memorable moment we've shared over the past few weeks. To see so much love from sweet friends and family has humbled me and truly makes me grateful to know that Liam is already so very loved.
Moving and Grooving: You are all boy and are getting so big and heavy these days little man! From belly punches, rib kicks, to sweet hiccups, and laughable rolls, you are surely a mover. I also have to say you are running out of room, so when you do make your moves, it's full belly roll'n over here.
Cravings: everything from sweets, chips and queso, margaritas, and wine. (These stay true)
What I look forward to: I cannot wait to see your sweet face. I cannot wait to hold you and to love on you. We are so excited for you to join our family sweet boy. While I know it is your timing, we hope to see you soon!

Baby Bump'n #2: Weeks 28-37

It is amazing how time can stand still yet still fly by. When I hit the third trimester while not getting sick on a daily basis or every few days, I absolutely felt the exhaustion of pregnancy. This growing a baby thing is truly hard work. But with that being said, through the pregnancy pains and sickness, please know that I feel absolutely blessed to be carrying this precious baby boy. Liam you are my rainbow baby, my miracle. God has such a special plan for your life and we are so incredibly thankful for you. I am so emotional this pregnancy thinking of how you were perfectly planned for us. I cannot wait to see your sweet face, to hold your sweet body, and to love and cuddle you. You are perfect and I cannot wait to tell you all about a God who gave you to us! So until we meet sweet boy, here is a picture post of our time together from week 28-37. We shall see you soon sweet love!

 Snuggling with your big sister.

At 31 weeks, our doctor scheduled a sonogram appointment to check on our little man, fluid, and just checking overall on the pregnancy. Liam of course looked great even though you hid from the camera. Oh how you love to tuck your arm behind your head or hide your face. But mommy and daddy got the last laugh as you showed your little baby bum to us.

Number of weeks: 37 Weeks
Measurement: At 31 weeks, you were already measuring almost 5 lbs and your leg length was measuring about 2 weeks early. Already this tells me that you are already taking after your daddy.
Baby Size: At 37 weeks, baby center says that our babe should weigh about 6 1/3 pounds and will measure a bit over 19 inches. From head to heel little Liam should be about the size of a bunch of swiss chard.
Heartbeat: Ranges from 140-150.
Pregnancy Clothes: They don't even fit these days. You always hear every pregnancy is different and boy are they right. The weight gain thing is normal but my body is carrying this little bundle so very different that almost every maternity piece I previously had looks like regular wear. I'm hoping that he comes a bit early as I would hate to go out and purchase more pieces at the very end.
Sleep/How I'm Feeling: As I tell the world, "I'm making it." I am so incredibly thankful to carry this little love and know that there are so many women out there that would trade my place in a heart beat. I was that woman. For 14 months waiting for Aubrey and the loss of our second child, it is embarrassing to even make any complaints. But being human, being stretched thin, having the worst mama and wife guilt, and all that comes along with hormones, I think I'm doing "ok" at this point. I've just hit the uncomfortable wall and try so much not to compare the two pregnancies. But hey, I'm human. Also while TMI, I'm dilated to a 3 and am 80% effaced. The doctor says he's extremely low and could honestly come any day. I am so thankful as I'd LOVE to see him early.
Most Memorable Moment: Seeing little Liam at 31 weeks melted my heart. He surely knows how to move and groove in this mama's belly as well as show us his baby bum.I also love how Aubrey talks about Liam. I know it will be a huge adjustment when her baby brother arrives but there is something so sweet when we pray and she says, "We pray for daddy, for mama, for Aubrey, and for baby Liam. I can't wait to see their love grow.
Moving and Grooving: You are all boy! From belly punches, rib kicks, to sweet hiccups, and laughable rolls, you are surely a mover. I wonder if you will move as much on the outside as you do on the inside.
Cravings: everything from sweets, chips and queso, margaritas, and wine.
What I look forward to: I absolutely cannot wait to meet our sweet boy. While I do believe that we will meet him sooner than later, I am excited to see if he will look like his big sister, daddy, or mama. I know that he will be a perfect little addition to our family.

Sweet Liam's 20 Week Baby Bump'n Post

Sweet Liam,
Today (more like 2 weeks ago) you turned 20 weeks. You are absolutely perfect sweet boy. Mommy and daddy loved watching you move, raise your little hands, kick your little feet, and open and close your mouth. You already look so much like your big sister sweet boy. My heart melted as we heard your little heart beat. Again God made you perfect. Already your body is measuring a week early and your little legs two weeks early. Boy, do you take after your daddy already. We are so excited to see you again next month sweet boy. So until we see you again, grow, kick, and move. Sweet Liam, know you are so incredibly loved and mommy and daddy cannot wait to see you soon.

Number of weeks: 20
Measurement: Your body is measuring at 21 weeks and your head and legs at 22.
Baby Size: You are the length of a carrot.
Heartbeat: I will have to update at the next month appointment. I believe it was 149-152. I will need to confirm.
Pregnancy Clothes: I am in full maternity pants and leggings. I would be in full maternity shirts if I just wasn't lazy. This belly to me seems a lot bigger than my last pregnancy, but I'm definitely finding clothing that can be worn. I'm so excited to go shopping soon for more shirts. I tend to wear a lot of dresses, leggings, and my favorite Old Navy Maternity jeans where only the pockets have the stretch material. It is genius.
Sleep/How I'm Feeling: I have to say this pregnancy is very different from my first. I get up between 4-6 times in the middle of the night (no joke) to go to the bathroom. Much of this is due to the amount of water I drink, but due to dizziness and nauseousness, I am told more water, more water, more water. I am also still finding myself sick. I am told its a sugar and protein issue. I'm definitely increasing my protein food intake with humus, peanut butter, and meat that doesn't make me sick. I feel like I want to eat all the time, but then feel sick. So it's a work in progress for sure. My body is definitely beginning to make preparations as my hip flexors and body has started to feel uncomfortable.
Most Memorable Moment: I loved seeing your sweet face at our sono appointment this month.
Moving and Grooving: I absolutely feel you moving sweet boy. I can't wait until daddy can feel you.
Cravings: snacks and sweet tea

Gender Predictions: I miss sleep. God is very much preparing me for Liam's arrival in regards to lack of sleep.
What I look forward to: I am looking forward to watching this baby grow. I am so excited to see you little boy next month and to see how much you've grown in just a few short 4 weeks. I'm also very excited to celebrate Thanksgiving with our Waldrup family and make more plans toward your arrival.

Happy 20 Week Bump'n!

Baby Bump #2: Weeks 9-14

Let the Bump'n posts for baby #2 begin!
While I can't promise a post for each week, I can promise a ton of pictures, a lot of love, and so much excitement.

Our first appointment at the doctor, we found out we were 6 weeks and a day pregnant. So thankful for this beautiful new blessing and for all the directions our little adventure would take us. At 9 weeks we met our beautiful little jelly bean. Our little bean was already moving and a grooving. Our baby's heartbeat read 179 and perfect.

So far this pregnancy, while a beautiful blessing, was proving to be very different than my first. From exhaustion to full day and night sickness, I will admit I was a hot mess. Adding a new school year and 22 kids plus a vibrant almost 2 year old, I was definitely losing the battle. But with medicine, early bedtimes (sometimes at 4PM), an amazing and helpful husband, and lots of mama guilt for missing time with my little girl, I was somehow making it through.

Each week my little bump got bigger. I am definitely showing more this go round than the first. I felt as though clothes started to get snug within my first few weeks.
At my 12 week appointment, we opted for the genetic testing and gender reveal information. After losing our last baby, it was just a small reassurance for this mama's heart to get the testing done. Plus knowing our little one's gender as early as possible was such an enticing offer. To be honest, I felt from the moment I was pregnant, our little babe was a little lady. I thought about more little hair bows, matching outfits, and two sweet princesses. I even referred to her as "her." But moments before we would hear from the nurse, I immediately began dreaming of a little boy. Wondering how perfect and different our lives would be if Aubrey had a little brother. Both options seemed absolutely perfect and exciting. Within a week, we would soon find out.

This time around, our reveal to family and friends looked very different. I always love dramatic reveals. I like the personal touches and seeing the expressions of faces. This go round, I had to spill the beans super early as I was in constant sick mode. My school team had to know as I was having to leave my classroom each day. My family received the reveal upon their visit for my father's birthday. A Little Critter book read, "Please read to me Opa! Love Aubrey and your new grand baby due March 28, 2016."

At almost 14 weeks, we had our final reveal to Ray's family as we would be returning home for his mother's birthday. We thought a fun family photo would be the perfect way to reveal our new little blessing. The first picture was "cheese!" and the second was "We're pregnant!"

On Monday, our 14th week, the doctor's office called to reveal that our baby was in good health and it's gender. Ray ended up receiving the doctor's call but waited on the gender reveal. That afternoon after school, we picked up the paper work and made our way out to celebrate for ice cream. It was there that we uncovered our sweet baby and gave it a name. We are so excited to reveal our little one in just another short week. So excited for our sweet little adventure and for all that is to come with our little family of four.

Monday night we revealed our little news to our facebook family and friends. This Bump'n post will be based on our most up to date week. (as I write this I'm almost 15 weeks... I better hurry;))

Number of weeks: 14
Measurement: I am assuming I'm right on track.
Baby Size: According to the Bump,
Heartbeat: Heart beat at 12 weeks was 172
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 2 lbs (I was probably around 5 pounds heavier when I got pregnant this go round)
Pregnancy Clothes: I have been in pregnancy pants pretty exclusively for a few weeks now. My regular pants are just a bit too snug on the belly. My shirts are still perfectly fine. But oh how I can't wait for the fall season. Dresses, scarves, and leggings. YES!
Sleep: Well this one has been a bit difficult the past few weeks. Aubrey went through a growth spurt two weeks ago that kept her awake from 1AM-5AM. This mama (and daddy) was exhausted. I have found myself within the first trimester going to sleep at 4PM and sleeping for a few hours, waking up for a snack, then back to bed. I get up 1-2 times in the middle of the night already.
Most Memorable Moment: Having our baby's gender revealed to us this week as well as hearing we have a healthy baby has truly been the most amazing moment this pregnancy. Also I love the way Aubrey hugs and kisses her sweet sibling. I asked her a few weeks ago what does she want to tell the baby. She said, "I love you!" Now she probably has not a clue about this growing little love bug in my belly, it was such a sweet and beautiful little moment in time.
Moving and Grooving: I feel like I have felt some flutters and little thumps as of late but will be feeling more as the baby gets bigger.
Cravings: snacks and sweets
How I feel: From the moment I was pregnant, I was sick from morning, noon, and night. From exhaustion and getting sick, falling asleep, dizziness, high blood pressure, and feelings of fainting, this has definitely been a difficult first trimester. Knock on wood, since I made it to my second trimester, I am feeling so much better. I am back to my old self and haven't gotten sick once. I feel my energy is beginning to return and I'm ready to take on this trimester with a more positive outlook.
Gender Predictions: We will be revealing within the next few weeks what our little babe is.
What I Miss: I would previously say energy and my love for food, but now I'm really not missing a thing
What I look forward to: I am looking forward to watching this baby grow. I am so excited to reveal his/her gender to the world and be able to call the baby by name.

Happy bump'n!
