Aub & Rob 9 Month Dinner and Play Date!

I love this sweet collage of our Auby and baby Robert. Last Saturday, our fam of three met up with our Cox friends (Daniela, Robert, and baby Robert) at Casa Ritas, one of my Mexican favorites. Our two littles couldn't keep their hands off of each other. Well, it was more like little Miss would grab his face, hair, or whatever she could get her hands on. It is so fun to watch the two interact as they are merely 5 days apart. After dinner, we came back to our house for some fun baby play and hang out.

I love baby Robert's hand perfectly placed on Aubrey's head. Let the play time begin!

 It was such a fun night with our friends and our babes. I have loved watching these two grow to be such cute friends. I can't wait to see what our next play date will look like.

LEGOLAND & Muscadines: Day SIX

When I heard that LEGOLAND was on our list of to dos while we were in Alabama, I'm not sure who would be more excited about going ... Ray or the kids. While we were there, we saw amazing sights, went to new lands, hunted aliens, built master pieces, rocked the racecar scene, swam in a tub of lego blocks, played with pups, and so much more. Enjoy a picture post of all things lego!

Here's to all things Lego and all of our LEGOLAND fun! After our adventures in LEGOLAND and a quick bite to eat, we made our way to a local winery. This part of Alabama is known for its Muscadines which are pretty sweet but delicious. It was a fun little lady outing and sweet afternoon treat.

Cheers to our final full day in Alabama and to all the adventures we had along the way! That following day we would be saying our good-byes and heading back home. Until Christmas sweet family!

Lions, Giraffes, and Zellners... Oh My!: DAY FIVE

Our Funday Sunday lead us to the Anniston Museum of Natural History. We saw lots of exciting animals and exhibits.

 {Zellner family of three}

From roaring like lions, chasing butterflies, looking for dinosaurs, and comparing our reaction time to a bird, it was a fun day at the natural history museum.

As we went outside, the rain had finally stopped. We made our way into what seemed like a secret garden. It was so beautiful. We had to stop and take a few family photos... while of course admiring the gigantic fish in the little "pond" and hoping that no one would fall in.

Before we left, we had to make a small lovey purchase. Auby loves giraffes. Once we saw this little stuffty... we knew our little Miss had to have it. Meet Bama the Giraffe

It was surely a party at the museum as baby girl was out like a light once the car was in motion, but not without her new friend, Bama the Giraffe. I love those little pouty lips.

Birthday Nails & Girls Day: Day FOUR

Saturday was our scheduled girls day of our Alabama trip while the gents stayed at home and watched our babe. It was a day to celebrate the ladies as well as one very special birthday girl, Miss Olivia Grace. My niece, Olivia, turned 7 the Monday before our arrival. For part of her present, I wanted to take her to get her nails done as well as enjoy a sweet treat! Enjoy some adorable cuteness of our ladies afternoon together!

After getting our nails done, the girls ventured over to Sutton's for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious. The desserts were of course my favorite! From moist red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing and specialty cheesecakes like turtle and oreo... all I have to say is YUM!

With clean plates and full tummies, we headed for home. I loved this sweet picture of Ryan, Ray, and Aubrey on the swing. I definitely cherish these sweet moments with family.

 After our return, the boys headed out for dinner and a few movies. While the boys were away, the girls did play. I loved spending time with my sister-in-law and nieces. Olivia was sure a little mama and wanted to be everywhere Aubrey was. And of course little lady had to have sweet cuddle time with her Aunt, Tassie. These have to be a few of my favorites of the night.

Happy Girl's Day and Day FOUR of our Alabama trip!

Water Park Alabama Fun: Day THREE

Friday afternoon we packed the car with our summer pool accessories. Since the weather was a bit overcast, we basically had the whole place to ourselves minus a family or two. Talk about fun. The kids... I mean Ray, Olivia, and Jacob had a fun afternoon of racing down the tube slides as well as back and forth from one side of the pool to the other. The pool was a bit on the cold side, but so fun. It was little girl's first time on a swing  and she loved it.

After a bit of afternoon pool play, little girl fell asleep in my arms while us ladies chatted on the side. It was definitely a great afternoon of summer pool and family fun.

Baby Bounce: Day TWO

Day two leads to a day of bouncing family fun!

Thursday morning began early for us in Alabama as we began day two. After an early morning play time with our youngest niece and nephew, it was time to get ready for the day. Sadly Tassie, my sister-in-law, and the kids had a funeral to attend and would be gone for most of the day. We gave our hugs and said our good-byes. Then Ray, his brother, Ryan, Olivia, Aubrey, and I made our way out to Cracker Barrel for lunch and then headed to the mall for an afternoon of play at  The Play Place.

It was a cute little jump place where we expanded lots of fun energy bouncing around, playing in ball pits, and running around like crazy. By these picture alone, you can surely tell that our kids had a fun time!
  {The sweet cousins, Olivia & Aubrey}
At first, Aubrey was a little unsure of the ball pit...
but before long she quickly came around and loved it. She was everywhere. When we came back home, we enjoyed a night of family fun and play. The kids brought out a special play tunnel. She just couldn't get enough. She enjoyed going back and forth in the tunnel (until sweet Bret the cat came around... but that's another story).

For dinner, I made my specialty of homemade enchiladas, rice and beans, and for dessert a sopapilla cheesecake. I had such a fun sous chef in the kitchen with me. I absolutely loved cooking with my sweet nephew, Jake. It was definitely a special night of family fun.
