Last Day Happy Hour!

This past Friday was my last "official" day at the office. For lunch, Matt had ordered everyone Brother's Pizza (yum) and we were even let go a little early. So.... to celebrate good times... come on.... (ha)... my sweet friend from work, Whitney, and I met up with our boys for a happy hour and dinner at Chuys. We definitely enjoyed some yummy drinks and tasty treats including the free queso.

To such sweet people, thank you for joining in my celebration for my last day in HR. This week was the final day that I had to make the trek to Uptown unless it was of my choosing. I'm so thankful for what I had been given and thankful for the opportunities these past two years. I'm thankful for the life experience I gained and the friendships I made. Again it is not a good-bye but an "until next time!"

So here's to two years.... here's to the friendships; the random themed pot luck lunches; the amazing aroma of coffee and every flavor I could ever have wanted (if I actually drank coffee on a reg basis); monthly newsletters; dishwasher schedules; the Halloween and Christmas parties; Cat pinatas; Friday bagels; the lunch dates and random errands; to potentially (one day) throwing medicine balls across the room with a note attached (Sally this was for you:). Here's to all of the moments, good and bad... I'm thankful for them.

Last Days in HR!

I will say this... I have had some amazing opportunities in HR and there is a huge part of me that will miss these faces. We've definitely shared some really great moments, and while I'm beyond excited about the opportunity set before me... it will be hard to say good-bye. But it's not good bye... it's until next time! Red, White, & Blue @ Checkpast!

Today marks our July 2, 2010 Red, White, & Blue Pot Luck Lunch at work. And boy was it a blast! We definitely had a lot of delicious treat options and for sure tons of left overs. Our tasty treats included Bagels and two choices of cream cheese, fruit salad (dyed red of course... maybe a little pink...oops:), chicken salad, tuna salad, veggie tray, sour cream enchiladas, Spaetzel dumplings and marinara sauce (YUM!), fourth of July inspired Rice Krispie Treats and cake balls, queso, chips and salsa... just to name a few.

What a fun time to celebrate! Thank you to all who participated in this fun theme day bash... definitely a party of historic measure and portions:)

Red, White, & Blue Pot Luck Lunch

I am super excited! This Friday my office will be hosting its annual Red, White, & Blue Bash!
... or more commonly known as our typical themed holiday pot luck lunch! It is a time where we bring our favorite breakfast/lunch/dessert treats to the office for everyone to enjoy! Plus we are asking for everyone to adorn himself/herself in America's favorite colors and to help make this a party of historic measure! What could be more fun than that?

So with that in mind... what fun activities do you have planned for this July 4th weekend? While nothing is officially set in stone for our July 4th, we are both excited for our random day trip to College Station this weekend for our one year engagiversary:)...



While it will be about a three hour drive, I absolutely cannot wait to enjoy any and all Aggie traditions and eateries. I have my heart set on some Rosas, Fazolis, Blue Baker, and Potato Shack to just name a few... is it sad I'm super excited about the food options?!? Ha. I also would love to just enjoy all the newness of the town and see what this year has in store for good ole' A&M.... Plus I would love to have a new Aggie Shirt:) Anyway I wish you a wonderful week ahead of us and look forward to hearing about all the July 4th funtivities to be had! Once a decision has been made about what to do for our July 4th... more pics and posts will be created shortly:)

Red Light! Green Light!

This past week, my company had been invited to an open house for greenlight advertising agency located on the third floor of our building. It was an awesome sight... The space and atmosphere was absolutely amazing and the people were so enthusiastic and talented. You may have seen some of their work. You can visit their website at www.greenlightad.com. Dundie Award!?!

What Dundie Award would Michael give you?!?

My question to you is when you are sitting there... on one of THOSE days... and you want to remind yourself of all the good you really do or maybe just something to make you laugh... What Dundie Award would you receive?!?!

Emergen-C Solution!

Gotta give a little shout out to our girl Whitney!

Every day at 4PM at work, we are provided some Emergen-C! Compared to Airborne, Emergen-C does a great job giving an extra kick of Vitamin C to warn off all those pesky illnesses that may try to invade our workspace. Thanks girl for keeping us all healthy!

(It's always 4:00 somewhere?!?! ha)

Office Holiday Party!

On Thursday, December 17, 2009 my work held its annual Holiday Party from 6-10PM.

For months party planning has been in progress and I absolutely couldn't wait for it officially to arrive.

Time: 6-whenever it ends:)
Bring Spouses/Significant others
Food: Brother's Pizza, Chips and Salsa, Queso, Fruit Tray, Puppy Chow, Cookies, Small Cup Cakes,Coffee Crunch Popcorn, Pretzels, and other wonderful goodies. Drinks were provided as well!
Activities: Giant Jenga and White Elephant Exchange
