100s Day and Kinder Letters

100s day was quickly approaching and I couldn't wait to celebrate with my Kindergarten Kiddos. From rockstar stickers, buttons, flowers, zoo stickers, puzzle pieces, ribbons, and smiley faces, the 100s day shirts were so fun and super cute. We enjoyed graphing 100 items, creating a gumball machine with 100 pieces of candy gumballs, writing about when we are 100, and all the crafty cool activities for the 100th day of school.

That same week, we also made birthday cards for one of our friends and one of my kiddos I worked with last year. Here were some of the cute letters my kids wrote. I love just how sweet their words are.

Lazy Day with Mattie Mae!

Almost four years ago, this little cutie joined our little family. We were never looking to be a two dog family, but after a sweet puppy sitting weekend, we knew that Mattie Mae was ours. I love spending cozy snuggle time with this sweet pup. Oh how I love my lazy day with Mattie Mae!

Toby Turns FIVE!

This February 2nd a famous groundhog predicted 6 more weeks of winter (as if we've had one this year) AND... but most importantly, our first born furb turned FIVE! Our independent, strong-willed puppy celebrated his birthday by enjoying several extra treats, his choice of couch space, turn down service with his favorite blanket... so a typical day in the Zellner household. But as always this boy was loved. Five amazing years of "puppy parent-hood." We love you sweet boy!

January Twenty Twelve Tidbits

Twenty Twelve has sure been an exciting year so far with lots of excitement, new recipes, many active and early AMs, and so forth. So for this post and with only a few days left of January, I wanted to bring a list of tidbits to keep everyone updated of the month's happenings. (In no particular order)

- The husband and I joined Texas Family Fitness with Kristin this past month. We have been attending several times a week including some pretty early mornings for tone and tightening and cardio blast classes.
- "Kickboxing kicks butt... including mine, " refers to Tuesday's kickboxing class where every inch of my body was sore.
- Ray and I have been enjoying many great recipes from Cook Yourself Thin. We also enjoyed several day dates. Here is one to a Yogurt shop next to our gym.

- I received beginning teacher of the year

- Within our study of animals and their habitats... I held a baby boa constrictor
- Poor Toby boy had another seizure:(
- Ray and I joined a small group within our ABF that we attend on Wednesday nights.
- This month we saved enough money for our down payment for a house. We will be moving forward in our process and are looking forward to purchasing our first home this March/April
- Little man Jacob turns ONE. We celebrated Jacob's Mickey Mouse birthday with his family and friends.

- We met up with our Gathings group for a funday Sunday with friends.
- Ray and Michael attend BSF (Men's Bible Study Fellowship)

January has definitely been a month of activity and excitement. We are going strong with no fast food, and I am still on board with no caffeine. That does make our early AMs a bit difficult but all worth it. I am looking forward to a fun year, making happy, and healthy choices. This will definitely be a year of fun adventures. Happy end of January and welcoming February!

M-I-C-K-E-Y... J-A-C-O-B!

Jacob turns ONE Picture Preview!

Today we celebrated a super special first birthday party for little man Jacob. Enjoy a few pictures from today's celebration as a post shall follow shortly.

New Recipes

Over the past few weeks, Ray and I have been trying our new Cook Yourself Thin recipes. As you may have read here, the husband and I are attempting to live a healthier lifestyle that includes fabulous recipes including baked ziti, lasagna, steak and peppers, and tomorrow potato skins. These recipes have been super tasty and really not that much extra time or preparation. I am now excited about our next trip to the grocery store so that we can include some healthy desserts. :) If you are interested in trying a few recipes from Cook Yourself Thin, you can find some tasty favorites here.

To my favorite chef... I look forward to continue trying new recipes and attempting to live healthier for this year and many many to come.
