Dear Auby,
It has finally happened sweet babe. My little new born has quickly grown up into a one year old. My oh my has this year been filled with so many crazy adventures. I have loved the endless smiles, the sweet baby hugs, sloppy kisses, nights of cuddling, and the new exploration. Each new baby stage has brought endless amounts of entertainment and fun. With that being said, we are so thankful that you have been such an easy baby. Being a new parent is the most rewarding job but it too has its share of challenges. While there is no manual or rule book, you continue to amaze us daily. I have loved watching your personality shine through. Our sweet interactions, the way you wrap your arms around my neck and lay your head on my shoulder, and your sweet voice saying mama, my heart is full.

I will have to say that not everything this month has been picture perfect. From ear infections, hand foot and mouth, and viruses, the month leading up to your special day kept you a bit under the weather. With tubes, meds, and lots of rest, we are officially on the mend... or so we thought. Your eight tooth officially decided to make it's full debut which caused fever and fussiness. You also have received three boo-boo reports this past month alone. You are definitely a girl on the go. To my lovely little, here are all of your fun twelve month updates. Continue to grow, change, love, and explore.
Date: 10/7/2014
Age: Twelve Months
Measurements: Weight: 20 lbs 7.5 oz (39th%); Height: 30 1/2 in (88th%); Head Cir: 17 1/4 in (16th %)
Clothing: You are officially in 12 and 12-18 month clothing. You wear size 3 shoes but they are getting a bit snug. We are so thankful for the sweet hand-me-downs from friends. Plus it is always fun to see our little girl wear some of our friend's favorites.
Eating: You are eating all big girl food and are officially 100% on cow's milk. You drink about 16-20oz of milk per day. We transitioned you over a few days before your special day. You didn't seem to notice at all. You are still drinking milk from a bottle but we are hoping (fingers crossed) to transition you to a cup this weekend. It would be wonderful not to have to clean bottles anymore, but all in good time. In regards to food, you have become a bit of a picky eater though. Your favorite foods are carrots, graham crackers, macaroni and cheese, steak fajita meat, black beans, and ditalini pasta. You will sign more and finished (your version of course) during your meal time. From time to time you mix up the two signals, which confuses mommy quite a bit. When you get frustrated your hands quickly go to your hair which typically means another bath time. You do not like to wait in your chair for mommy and daddy to finish eating. You've got places to go, chairs to move, and toys to play with. But boy do you love throwing food this month. You have always enjoyed feeding the pups by putting your food on the floor, but now we quickly have learned to push food from our tray. A cute side of eating would be how you like to feed mommy and daddy.
Sleeping: I love that you let us know when you are tired and the way you communicate with us by saying nigh-night and ba-ba. You have slept great through the night except for a few nights when you had ear infections. You usually ask to go down or show signs that you want to go down between 6:30 and 7:00PM. You sleep until we wake you up during the week (my favorite part of the day) or until 7:00AM on weekends. I am so thankful that you are a pretty good sleeper. It is so fun to watch you on the monitor. Since you were in my tummy sweet girl you have been on the move. You like to sleep on your back and sides the most.
