Red, White, & Blue Fun Day 2017

Happy Birthday America!
What a fun and special July 4th celebration with sweet friends and family!

 

 And because everyone LOVES a good comparison photo, here is ours from 2014-2017.

We began our morning at the Red, White, and Blue down town McKinney Parade. It has become one of my favorite summer traditions and what a way to celebrate America's birthday!

 We absolutely love celebrating July 4th with our Ogle friends, Erin, Gigi, Eva Mae, and Richard, as we have the last few years. This year the weather was a perfect 81 degrees. We even had perfect seating away from the sun (until it moved:), by the courthouse, and right near the girls' stage.

 Oh how our little ladies loved to dance and perform on their big stage.

Prior to the parade, the girls danced while our littles enjoyed a morning of side walk chalk,

snacks, and play work books. They enjoyed waving around their little flags and enjoy the many people and pets that walked by. It was a perfect coming together to celebrate our July 4th Independence Day holiday.

Picnic Dinner Party
After some relaxation time and a few good naps, we enjoyed a picnic and dinner party with our Ogle friends. From watermelon faces, outdoor play pals, princess dresses, and some absolutely mouth-watering food, our picnic dinner party was a blast and a perfect way to end our evening celebration together.

Beauty & The Beast Recital 2017

Aubrey's Beauty and the Beast Recital was held on Thursday, June 29th. I couldn't believe that our three week summer ballet class had drawn to a close. Tonight was the night to celebrate all the cute little steps that she had learned and just enjoy our little girl being three.

Daddy was so excited to give his little Belle beauty her own special red rose.

Once we arrived, the girls were so excited to see each other. Hugs, shouts, and even circles were run around each other in excitement for this special night.

 

But before long, it was time for us to dress their girls in these adorable red roses and tutus. Aubrey was all eyes on the stage. It was definitely a much bigger performance stage than she was used to practicing, but all so exciting!

The performance was so good and so well put together. Each dance told part of the story for Beauty and the Beast. Our little beauty had mommy and daddy in stitches as she decided to spend the first minute throwing her flower and then sitting in beginning position. But as soon as her name was called, she stood up and danced her little heart out. It was absolutely adorable. There is nothing sweeter in this moment than first time littles performing in front of an audience. You've gotta love being three!

After her recital, we gave hugs to our friends and made our way out for a well deserved ice cream treat.

We were all smiles when we ordered our special ice cream treat with sprinkes. 

What an exciting and hilarious first performance. We are so proud of our little Beauty and look forward to many more recitals in our future. We are also going to sign her up for ballet in the fall to continue our dance lessons. Hugs and Kisses for our sweet Aubrey Rose.

Kendall Visits "The Dallas": Day FOUR & FIVE

 For lunch we enjoyed In and Out as we began our travels north to Oklahoma.

 

Today we enjoyed being in two places at once. Today we traveled to Oklahoma to celebrate Kendall's travel to her 10th state and to take her to the World's largest 1 story Casino and Resort, Winstar.

 Ray and Kendall went in to try their hands at the slots. They took in $17 and left with $.37.

 On our way out of Oklahoma, we stopped by the Cloverleaf. It was a super cute little shop with lots fun little buys. Plus they had these adorable bicycles and since Liam's room is decorated with bikes, I can't wait to make this little photo into a cute print for his room.

Day Five we said our sad good-byes to Kendall. It was so very special to steal her away for a few days and to spend special one on one time with her. It was a fun week of firsts, of showing her "the Dallas" and enjoying family and cousin time together. Kendall we love you girl and I'll leave you with this last thought and reminder from the kiddos.

We surely loved watching our Liam fishy faces and peek-a-boos. We will always remember what state we are in and if we are unsure, we know who will ask a lot of times. This week we learned that Aubrey has jokes especially when they are from Zootopia.
