Logan's Super Hero 1st Birthday

 On Saturday, June 10th we transformed into our super selves and celebrated Logan's super hero themed 1st birthday. From adorable decor, a bounce house, kids toys, delicious food, amazing friends, and fun photo opts, this party was so much fun.
 Daddy will always be Aubrey's favorite superhero!
 Liam's my little sidekick.
Happy Birthday to Logan, our sweet little friend. I love these two boys together. I look forward to watching Liam and Logan grow into such fun friends. Plus there is always lap room.

 {Adorable Dessert Table}
Liam enjoyed the bounce house, but mainly liked the other kids doing all the work. He was all smiles as he simply laid in the bounce house.

 We may have been a little intimidated by Spiderman.

It was a fun party celebrating sweet Logan. We are so thankful for these super friends and look forward to the many exciting adventures to come! Happy birthday Logan!

Daniela's Baby Boy #3 Luau

A woman with all sons will be surrounded by handsome men for the rest of her life.
On Saturday, June 10, I had the wonderful privilege of helping host a Luau themed baby shower for one of my best friends and old roommate, Daniela. She is absolutely precious and her friendship and family mean the world to me. We are so excited to welcome baby boy Cox #3 in just a few short weeks. Enjoy a picture post of her shower.

Taste of Dallas 2017

Howdy from the Taste of Dallas.
On Sunday after church, the family made our way to Fair Park for some good food, family fun, and a little activity in the sun.
As we entered the fair grounds, I had to take a picture of the state fair of Texas ferris wheel. Within a few short months, we will be back at the grounds for more fair fun. I can't wait!

On this day, we enjoyed lots of family fun activities in the family fun zone. It didn't hurt that the family fun games were inside and fully air conditioned. We enjoyed a little cooking made possible by Medical City Children's Hospital. Aubrey learned how to make some healthy and delicious snacks.

 Aubrey made banana sushi.
 After a bit of hula hoop and family fun, Aubrey decided to get a little arm paint.

 She chose a rose for her name, Aubrey Rose.

We then made our way around the booths. We enjoyed some delicious BBQ and drinks. This pineapple pina colada was absolutely worth holding the 5 extra pounds of fruit around in the hot sun.

 And of course a Taste of Dallas and Fair Park afternoon is not made complete until you run into a storm trooper. It was a perfect ending to a very hot but super fun afternoon out with the family in Dallas.

S☀️mmer Sillies 2017

My summer sillies have enjoyed lots of fun in the sun! From our favorite Celebration Park, splash pads, playgrounds, Fair Park Fun, pool play dates, and Popsicle parties, our summer has been filled with lots of sun tan lotion, a few skinned knees and boo boos, and super sweet and some crazy moments. Taking two around this summer has been a lot of fun and a whole lot of interesting at times. We have hit threenagerhood hard this summer and my Liam love can definitely hit those high octaves. Mommyhood can be a balance some days, but even with the silly and a whole lot of crazy, I do cherish those sweet moments of crazy and cute.

It's crazy to think how different this summer looks as compared to last year.

2017 Celebration Park Fun
I can't say that "mommyhood" is easy in this crazy life but moments like this I will cherish always. And while there may be hair pulling, toy stealing, whining from both, my kids absolutely adore each other. That makes every moment worth it. It's been fun to see Liam come into his own this summer. With my walking little tot, it is fun to watch him explore but also at times to still cling to mommy.

{This hat-loving little has gotten so big!}
This summer has been a season of firsts... lots of steps and lots of big moves on the bigger playground. We are feeling much more independent and loving adventure and our need to explore.
{Trying to figure out a double nap has been interesting lately so poor boy is not always big smiles, but does enjoy a little park fun too}

Liam LOVES the splash pad.
Our first trip to the splash pad was a great success. It may have taken him a few attempts before getting excited about the water, but after that it was hard to take him away. Aubrey is also really enjoying water these days. For a few years it was hit or miss with her, but this summer has been so fun with our new love for a little wet and wild afternoon at a splash pad.
We also love meeting sweet friends for some fun in the sun. On this day, we met up with our Voss friends. Aubrey loved getting to splash around with Parker as his older brother was at VBS. It was a fun morning of wet and wild splash pad fun with the kiddos.

Chalk the Lot
Willow Bend Mall

This summer we met up with a few ladies and their kiddos from church at Willow Bend Mall for Chalk the Lot. It was a super hot but fun day of side walk chalk, free station activities and game, and delicious snow cones for the family.
 {Erin and our kids enjoying some sweet snow cones.}
I love how big sister tries to give Liam tickles to make him smile. He can be so serious in a new situation, but give him a few minutes and he'll be the life of the party.
 {Crayola Artist}
 We enjoyed a morning of fun with Denise and Stephanie as well as their kiddos Evelyn and Tristan.
  {Aubrey & Eva Mae enjoying some crayola coloring fun!}
Our morning was filled with a whole lot of color and fun in the hot, hot sun! I love these fun and free summer activities with the kids.

Swim & Splash Play Date
Trout,Westin, & Benny

This summer we had the wonderful opportunity to visit with my sweet friend and co-worker, Trout and her precious grand kiddos. Aubrey had so much fun swimming with her new little friends in the big pool like a fish. We spent all morning going from pool to splash pad and back. What a fun day, a perfect pool and play pad, and sweet new play pals. I love this sweet time being able to catch up with my dear friend. Thankful for these moments of fun in the sun but also perfect relaxation.
 {Westin & Aubrey enjoy a pool snack}
After the pool, the kids enjoyed a nice, LONG nap, and then a movie date upstairs.
While this may only last 10 minutes and then full on big boy rough and tumble takes over, I do have to say it is on of my favorite moments with the kids. I love watching them cuddle close, watching movies, reading books, or laughing at high octaves in the car with tickles. As of late I have been more of a referee as to whose turn it may be but moments such as this make all of those others worth it. I adore these sweet summer sillies.

This summer we have also had Chick-fil-a visits, Target shopping runs for ballet accessories, and birthday bashes. Here are a few pictures from our summer of silly.

 {Swim date with our Fantlets}
Oh how we love our Fantlets. While the mama's enjoyed a strong workout with CG, our kiddos enjoyed their time together and then a cool dip in the pool to follow. Love these little fishies!

We loved our precious play date with our friend, Kate. From pretty princesses, story reading, ad playing nap time, we had so much fun with our friend.

 {Happy 4th birthday to our sweet Eva Mae. We loved celebrating our sweet princess friend. We felt like royalty decorating a castle and our very own princess crown while riding away on our own stable horse.}
